We have inches of snow right now. Yikes. Luckily, I went grocery shopping yesterday evening, so I am stocked up on food. Most importantly, plenty of wine.

But poor DH had to drive a friend to the airport 2 hours away. They got up at the butt crack of dawn (actually, the middle of the night), had a terrible snowy drive to the airport, and the friend missed his flight. He got another flight at 10:00, but I'm afraid DH will be stranded there.

It looked delicious.

I still love my frosting but can not handle as much as I used to. When I was younger I loved it all. Really sweet to mild, and the more the better. I only protested to whip cream trying to pass itself off as frosting and anything that was not blended or mixed properly and gritty/grainy. I can now add overly sweet frosting to my list, and anything excessive to me. I can no longer eat a corner piece myself, but I do mind if it has a good amount on top.

I've just spent 40 minutes moving the snow from my parking spot. Who wants to place bets an ignorant chuff is parked in it tomorrow when I get home from work?

Ha, whipped cream is pretty much my frosting of choice. Just ultra-light and barely sweetened.

Speaking of frosting... I bought some funky cup cake liners at Michaels and I want to use them. I need to devise an Easter cup cake plan. One of my nephews and my great nephew in law will be over, and I want to make something they will enjoy.

I can't do it as frosting. It's not my favorite texture. That and, most people here slap cool whip on a cake rather than making their own and sweetening to taste. Even the bakery's used "cool whip frosting".

I'll pass.

How would you die feeling like a woman. You are a woman. She sounds dumb. (I know I know but the joke was whack)

Some time ago I told my aunt we'd cook up some octopus, preferably in the summer. Apparently whenever I come home she brings up the octopus to my mother.
Maybe I should try to just get it done today so I can get that crossed off and she stops asking.

I'm now resorting to a semi-permanent hair colour to cover my current disaster. Iced Mocha by casting creme.

The chain of events started by bad hair color has gotten ridiculous. I hope this one finally works out!

I hope so too. It's still wet but looks more natural than brassy, orange, gold crud. One of the girls at work said it looked nice but I just saw a mess and we all know how a perceived bad hair day can make you feel. Also I think I looked old.

I don't think my hair can take more colour without dropping out.

Clairol Perfect 10 started all this. I will never use it again.

When it's grown out I'm back to the salon. Damn recession money saving attempts.

Shame? There's no shame in that!

The second series of Call the Midwife just started here last night, most annoyed that I had to come to work and will have to wait to see it now. Downton's on the same time. Love it all.
