Get over yourself. We all get it, he is the love of your life, you've pined for him for the past 10 years. Its just not going to happen though and the constant snark over what else is going on in his life is getting really old. At first I felt bad, but it's just getting silly at this point.

In certain states, Connecticut is one of them. They have beer and that's it.

I think it's more what kind of booze. Granted I don't shop for booze, so maybe I've just never noticed, but it seems to me typical supermarkets have beer and things like wine coolers, but not the liquor selection found in an actual liquor store? I'm probably wrong though since if I ever need something like bourbon I automatically go to the liquor store and have never thought to try the supermarket.

Yeah, absolutely no booze in our grocery stores. Not even beer. Although I guess they're trying to change that now?

Some nicer grocery stores circumvent the rule by having a "cafe" where you can just so happen to purchase six-packs of beer. Funny how that works out.

Otherwise you have to go to a liquor store or a beer distributor.

It varies state by state. I remember in SC we couldn't buy alcohol on Sunday, but we could at the military exchange on base, and if I remember correctly it was the same in GA.

In CT you had to go to a liquor store to get spirits or wine. Here in CA it's nice that they sell beer, liquor, and wine at the grocery store so one stop shopping.

Ya, here in MA almost none do. That's the reason why the Wegmans thing is so huge to me.

My county was completely dry when I was younger. After that changed you could not buy beer/liquor on sundays, and not every store or restaurant would sell it. You could also only buy it in town. Anything out of city limits could not sell. Now, that is fixed. We still have a few restaurants, gas stations, and one non chain grocery store that will not deal with alcohol.

In Missouri, you can buy all types of alcohol in grocery stores. I get my husband's single malt Scotch there.

You can't buy it on Sundays before 9am, though.

yes!!!

i need to clarify: there are stand-alone wine stores in some grocery stores, but in this province, you cannot buy wine, beer or spirits in the grocery store itself.

People always say yes and then freeze when several phone lines are ringing, someone is asking them to look up an address and give directions on the radio, another whats a phone number, another wants a tag, AND 3 other departments are checking en route to different calls. Those have to be entered quickly as well, and don't neglect the heart attack on the line and domestic you have on hold because we are all busy.... AH! We have had more people leave in the past 4 years because they could not handle it. You need 10 arms and 4 heads to handle it at times, but you have to make do with 2.

I feel so strong.

There were Reese's eggs on clearance at the grocery and I didn't buy any.
