Under normal circumstances I like showering because I being in the shower helps me think. So I usually sit there and think for most of my shower.

But I have gone periods of not showering when I've been in particularly low times of depression. I was also purposefully starving myself so bathing was not my priority.

I could not stop laughing watching Justified a couple weeks ago. Some younger hit man/strong arm type character was named YOLO. People (read smart a** 35-45 year olds) kept calling him YOYO & Yoohoo. Anytime they were corrected they said, "whatever".

I started showering at night before bed when I hit menopause and was hotflashing all the time. It really helped me sleep better. My flashes are much better now, but I'm still showering every night. I just don't sleep as well without it. Besides, I can't go to bed without washing my face, or I break out, and by the time I do all the face washing in the sink, I might as well just shower...takes less time.

I shower (or bathe) again in the morning to freshen everything up. I wash my hair every other day (unless I'm swimming, and then it's every day).

There, now aren't you all better off knowing how I stay stink-free?
I prefer to shower everyday. But sometimes I don't. What can you do. That's life. Yolo. Live Laugh Love. RSVP.

HOLY HOT WATER HEATER.

I want a hot water heater that will last 40 minutes.

Wait, no I do not because I'd never get outta there.

Man, nothing feels better than a hot shower and some smell good body wash when I feel grimy. An evening shower just to rinse the icky off is the only time I use body wash, it's a treat.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Sometimes I also flick my boogers. Good thing I'm pretty and dress well otherwise I'd never have friends.

And, I believe there is some sort of scientific research to back up your thoughts about baths before bed. IIRC, it has to do with raising of body temperature during the shower or bath, then it's slowly returning to normal. Heck, as long as you feel good and it helps you sleep, the science doesn't even matter.

I sometimes shower at night, but then I usually have to shower again in the morning, thanks to my peri-menopausal experience: night sweats. Ugh, but I am clean.

I'm a shower every morning person or I start to feel yucky and grotty even though I know it's mostly in my mind - I'm not actually dirty.

However its only very recently that it's become normal for people to shower so often. My parents grew up with wash day being once a week as the norm. Pretty sure not everyone stank all the time.

I, personally, sweat a massive amount at night so I *have* to shower in the morning or I stink and feel gross and sweaty. Even if it means I have to wake up at 4am to do so!

My mother on the other hand, maybe showers once a week. I don't see her shower often at all. She doesn't stink.

But to be honest, I didn't shower every day even before my life blew up in my face. I don't stink. I'm a clean person. I don't wallow around in mud and filth and I look damn good in what you would consider horrible dirtiness. Judge all you want. My life sucks eggs right now and showering every 2.472937 hours isn't really high on my priorities list. Surviving the day without having a seizure is. Judge away. Carry on.

The difference is, my comment about showering (which is silly, and not important and not directed at one person) is about what I think people should do, as opposed to what I think of the choices an individual made in the past. And you called ME out on being judgemental?

I assure you my comment on showering being important doesn't also include a list of people's names and their showering schedule.

P.s., I also said if I'm not showering on the regular that means something is seriously wrong with me, which would include various things such as spending the night in the er, getting a broken nose, going through a deep depression, having the flu, a bout with seizures, having a broken leg, etc, etc.

Just sayin.

Good morning.

I don't always wait for things to get dirty before I clean them. I just routinely clean them so they're always clean. Most people around here know I'm crazy about cleaning stuff. Its just one of my things. I'm sure you'll (gy) find other negative things about me, but I am not going to apologize for being clean. And while I think one should shower most days, I won't show up at your house to sniff you, so don't everyone stress out about it.
