I have been showering every other day lately, since with my broken ankle I haven't been working out. I have chronically dry skin, so fewer showers is good for it.

Otherwise, I shower when I work out, which is generally 5x a week. I KNOW I stink when I work out

My dermatologist told me to bathe or shower no more than once a week because of my eczema. If I get sweaty or dirty more often than that, I can rinse only, as in less than 2 minutes, warm water only, no hot, no sudsing up.

I wash my hair every 3-4 days. No one has died when I walked by.

When I was very ill, I'm sure I bathed less than that. When I had the flu in January, I am certain I may have gone more than 2 weeks without bathing or washing my hair. Back in December when I broke my foot, it didn't get washed but a brief rinsing in between casts every 2 weeks.

The only time I stink is when I puke. And then it's like puke comes out of my pores in my sweat. I've actually gotten in the shower in my jammies and undressed under running water because I felt I was so vile. I came out nekkid and clean and non-stinky and went to bed in a towel. Yes, a wet towel.

My mother is a bathe every day or die kind of woman. She thinks I may be an alien. I may be. She is a brunette with dark brown eyes and lovely brown skin and I am a light strawberry blond curly with blue eyes and bizarrely pale skin who refuses to bathe more than I want to.

Oh, I also don't shave my pits or legs, also because of eczema; shaving irritates my skin into a bleeding, cracking disaster; hair is so much more attractive than all that nonsense. So there. Y'all freak out.

PS - I have on a skirt today too. And no hosiery.

I seriously think you worry way too much about whether people are clean or not. I'm 33 years old and I don't shower every day nor to be honest every other day if I can't handle it. I'm going through some pretty awful isht right now and having you judge someone on whether or now they're showering after the life choices you've made...well, it's just laughable. But to be honest, I didn't shower every day even before my life blew up in my face. I don't stink. I'm a clean person. I don't wallow around in mud and filth and I look damn good in what you would consider horrible dirtiness. Judge all you want. My life sucks eggs right now and showering every 2.472937 hours isn't really high on my priorities list. Surviving the day without having a seizure is. Judge away. Carry on.

Trust me, I'm not 'worried' about anything other people do.

People judge other people all day long, about plenty of things. Obviously - because I'm not sure what my 'life choices' have to do with anything. But if the information is shared, then I guess I have just as much right to have an opinion about someones lack of showering as you do about my past. The difference is, my comment about showering (which is silly, and not important and not directed at one person) is about what I think people should do, as opposed to what I think of the choices an individual made in the past. And you called ME out on being judgemental?

I assure you my comment on showering being important doesn't also include a list of people's names and their showering schedule.

P.s., I also said if I'm not showering on the regular that means something is seriously wrong with me, which would include various things such as spending the night in the er, getting a broken nose, going through a deep depression, having the flu, a bout with seizures, having a broken leg, etc, etc.

Just sayin.

Good morning.

You alluded to certain people, which is as good as. You knew exactly what you were doing, so don't backtrack now.

You bet your sunshine I'll judge you after the crap you just pulled in here. You gave someone crap who was abused and had their nose broken for not bathing and bragged about how when your dad died, when you gave birth, you still showered. Well bravo you. You're so much better than the rest of us.

You also bragged about your previous life choices elsewhere and then judged people here for something as silly and bathing habits without knowing the background behind it. I got no problem with your life choices but they're a hell of a lot more shocking than someone who doesn't bathe. It doesn't matter than you didn't name names, it still makes those of us who are in the same boat feel like isht and yeah, I will name you specifically. Who cares whether there is something wrong with these people or not? It's not your business. You need to just shut it.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Haha ^. Seriously, I don't care what one person does or doesn't do. I'm just crazy about showering. I'm a shower-er, if you will. If I had any kind of medical issue that kept me from showering, I'd go crazy. I'm sure people don't smell. I don't smell if I go a day or two without showering - although by that point I will certainly feel like I need to scrub myself with a pumice stone.

But I'm also one of those wash my hair daily, brush my teeth 3 times a day, my hands are always dry bc I wash them constantly, type of people.

I won't remember what people here said they don't shower. Except Murr. I remember she doesn't shower and she eats pizza because she reminds us often.

I have really dry skin too! And I like hot showers in the winter, which just dries out the skin more.

So irregular showers are smart otherwise my skin looks and feels kind of papery so ick.

I also wash my hair maybe once or twice a week.

Let's just not even get started on baths though. If I'm going catch a tub full of water, I am going to be there for some time. I will let a little water out if it gets cool, and run some more hot water.

And I'm going to wish I had toys, Mermaids and stuff, but I'm not giving up my bubbles.

Your posts state otherwise and that you do care and that they do smell even if they don't think they do (seriously, go back and read your posts, because it says exactly that). I suggest next time you think before you type because minxy certainly didn't need your figurative slap to the face when she'd already had a literal one.

I lost all my underarm hair --- not that I ever had much --- about a decade ago.

Lots of leg hair left, though! I only shave it in the summer.

It's a perk of being single.

SG - I never said anything rude to Curlyminx and I've always backed her up in her tough situations. I also did not comment on her not showering bc of her recent happening, I commented on those who have a habit of not showering. And frankly, if I were Curlyminx, I wouldn't appreciate you continually talking about my hygiene during a depressive state repeatedly just to try and rile up another member. Especially when said member didn't call anyone out personally.

If you feel the need to point fingers at me, or if it makes you feel better to use me as your scapegoat right now, thats fine, but kindly leave Curlyminx out of it bc this isnt about her, and its really unfair.

I rarely shave my legs in the winter, luckily husband doesn't care. Of course in the summer, sometimes he shaves his legs too. (some summers we cycle - a lot - so if we are, he does, he has the sexiest legs)

SO........

Around 930 I was finally able to get my sleep on. And at about 1115 I got a call. A drunken call wondering why I lied and goodness knows what other nonsense. After talking a few minutes and then realizing that I don't need to do this to myself, I hung up. Unfortunately it was too late. My hands were on fire! All I could do is hold them up and whimper. They felt horrible. So for about 15 minutes I agonized before being able to get up and quickly make a quesadilla so I could take something. And of course because something is wrong with me, I only took an Aleve instead of a Norco. I went back to sleep. Then I got another call at who knows WHAT time but I didn't answer and was able to go right back to sleep.

I woke up this morning in horrible pain. And because I haven't eaten, I wouldn't take anything. So about 5 minutes ago I took an extra strength tylenol and I'm dying for it to kick in.

Good gravy this is so painful to type.

I've gotten a couple of crazy "You're a liar." "How could you do this to me." And "You never loved me. I can't believe it."

I've ignored all but that last one. I couldn't help myself. I said "Of course you can't believe it. Because it isn't true."

I shouldn't have responded.

I made the first post after Murr quoted mine, so that was directed to her. I quoted a few other people and responded to them, as well so I don't know how its assumed I was directing it at someone, when I quoted Murr, and Nej.

Either way, I would certainly not do something like that to anyone going through a difficult time. Regardless of how someone, or some people want to twist my words or intentions around. Not exactly the first time thats been done here.

For the record, you can't possibly tell someone that something is 'none of their business' when the information was presented on a message board. Thats not exactly keeping it private.

I'm glad you notice I have an attitude. I recently stopped holding back bc I'm sick of everyone else giving attitude and me sitting back and taking it. Keep in mind, I'd never be rude to someone unless they were rude first. Period.

And you can't brag about showering. You just can't.

I'm off to do my dishes now.
