slightly guano:

My derm. told me I am thick skinned (he means that as a good thing). I wish. (ha ha).
2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Experimenting with cones & sulfates while the dews are high.
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift
I think my skin is getting thinner as I'm getting older. Not sure how to thicken it up.
Lotsa, try BandAid Blister Block available in all drugstores. It is a stick like thing, and you just rub it on your skin (like you would a deodorant) where you tend to get blisters. It's like a dryish lubricant. It worked for me!

Good luck with that.

I do not intend to be without Band Aid's blister block ever again. I will buy it by the case if it is discontinued.

Well, I guess today's episode demonstrated that you can dish it out, but you sure can't take it, huh, T? I can't believe you resorted to reminding everyone you were sick months ago as part of your defense.

I like everyone else, but you appear to kind of su#&.

I AM THE NEANDERTHAL SLAYER!!!
About 2 and a half hours ago I went downstairs and found my cat heavily panting under the couch. He had lost control of his bowels and bladder and was vomiting and he was paralyzed from the waist down. Nick just took him to the animal hospital and they said he had a blood clot in his heart. They just put him to sleep.

Yesterday he was outside playing with my kids. Today he was following my daughter around the woods. It was so sudden. He was like a little cat-dog. He would follow us on walks. He would meet my kids at the bus.

My poor Charlie. I had him 12 years.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I so very sorry Iroc.

It sucks bc we had no idea. He wasn't sick or acting different at all. He was sitting with us as normal around 8pm. I found him sick about 10pm. It was a pretty bad couple of hours for him. I guess I'm just glad it wasn't longer than that.

My poor guy.

Awe, what a handsome guy.

We had a similar situation with our cat when I was younger. One moment he was absolutely fine and the next he was just...gone. We had no idea he was sick, but he had feline leukemia we later found out. It was devastating.

You and your family are in my thoughts, iroc. I'm so sad for y'all.

*****

my country has just lost another legendary singer.

Rita MacNeil was the most unlikely of stars - a woman of Mama Cass proportions with the voice of an angel and an immense talent for songwriting.

she is best known in her native Nova Scotia, where she lived almost her entire life in the small town of Big Pond on Cape Breton Island, returning to her home after living in Toronto for a while, then leaving only for tours and to tape her tv show that ran on CBC for 3 years and her xmas specials on CTV.

Rita owned a tea room in her little town, and if you stopped by for a cup, she would often wait on you herself.

she's best-known here for two amazing songs; Flying on Your Own, a song about recovering from divorce later covered by Anne Murray, and the anthem of coal miners the world over, Working Man.

this video isn't very good - someone took it at a concert a few years ago. and her voice had started to fade, but it will give you an idea of the power of her songwriting ability. the backing choir is The Men of the Deeps, a choir of coal miners from Cape Breton Island.
