Not just because I'm Canadian, but it really is the nicer side! Not sure what you're into, or what's on the US side, but there are some brilliant vineyards over here. Lots to do at the falls, but if you're not into the touristy stuff, or want to venture a little further, the Niagara wine region is pretty awesome!

I am into all things wine!

I read that the falls were a better view on the Canadian side, and the area around the hotels are better there. I figure if we're gonna go, go the extra little bit to get the full effect.

We're both not big shoppers, or late nighters. We are also not into crowds or dealing w lots of people. We like to keep to ourselves, but we definitely like to do things. We would also enjoy seeing the falls and spending a weekend in a hotel with a great view.

I'm very excited bc he told me today look up hotels to book!

WTH? I will find what got me and make it pay.

If you're taking the girls, lots of fun stuff to do down there! A friends Mom takes the grand kids pretty regularly and has a hotel with kitchenettes and a really good indoor pool that she really likes. Ill get the name if you're interested.

If its just you and the boy, I'd swing for a really good room over looking the falls on a Saturday night (I think they always do fireworks Saturdays), then a vineyard and wine tour for the next few days. Check Groupon......always some great deals!

a few weeks ago, i signed up on NASA for "Spot the Station". it sends you an email alert when the Space Station is going over you.

tonight was the first time i got an alert and it was a clear night so i could actually SEE it passing overhead!

I've been watching X Files tonight. I'd forgotten how much I like this show. But of course now I'm hearing noises downstairs and I'm all freaked out!

Hope my boy gets home soon!

Yes, it peaked this morning. I wanted to see it, so badly. I am in the perfect location for it. Nothing but a dome of stars above me, but it was supposed to be cloudy out, and the moon is at 85% which decreases visibility.

After 3 days of getting up at 5 am after hardly being able to sleep at night (my body refused to turn around from the night shift schedule), I could not have watched it conditions were perfect.

Could that comment have been more irrelevant? No.

Our existing members keep leaving and any new members we get are called trolls. This board is never going to thrive that way.
