Scrills I'm so sorry. Things like that have happened to me too. It's like "Go tell someone else you jerk". (((Hugs)))

I recently had something similar happen to me with my sister. Her and my niece are coming out for 3 weeks in June. She says "I don't know how Naina is going to do being away from her daddy that long." I didn't say anything but in my head I was thinking "must be nice to have that concern. I have a kid who has daddy issues every freaking day because he was killed in Iraq and maybe you should save that thought for someone else insensitive sister." I know it's been 9 years and maybe I shouldn't be overly sensitive but sometimes I just am.

((((Scrills and Jess)))).

I confess I said something years ago about Father's Day, to a friend whose dad had not long since died. It didn't register with me until another friend said something, I was mortified. I'm really not a thoughtless person and couldn't believe I said it. Haven't made the same mistake again.

Springsy1,

I saw you posted a few owl necklaces, so when I was on Flexi8's website & saw this one I thought of you.

It's in the extra small section.

Your friend,

TRBL

I got pulled over by security at the airport a few weeks ago for my Flexi-8. I had to show them how it went in my hair

I've done something like that before....it's probably one of the worst feelings in the world.

I still feel mortified when I remember.

TRBL, that is so cute! I don't even have a thing for owls, but for some reason lately all the cute things have owls on them!

Thank you for sharing.

It was weird reading some of the recent posts...my dad died suddenly (he was only 43 and seemingly healthy) 14 years ago today. Honestly, I'm mortified in the way I've responded to some of those insensitive comments years ago. I used to say things to obviously make the person feel bad for their comment. I was young though, only 17 when he died, so I try to just blame it in immaturity now and be more sensitive.

And the lesson is to make sure you have the "chips or something" BEFORE you start drinking.
