I've got antibiotic drops now and it's getting better, but OMG OOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!

P.S. - although this can happen to anyone, it is 80% more likely to happen to those that regularly sleep in their contacts (even contacts that are made to be slept in)
That happened to meeeeee owwww I'm so sorry.

I was freaking out that I was going blind bc it was my good eye but omg did it hurrtt. I'm so sorry

I had something similar. I had a scratch on my cornea from a calcium or whatever deposit that had accumulated on my contact. It hurt so much! The optometrist made me cry after explaining the damage I've done to my eye. She felt bad and hugged me after.

I'm so sorry! That painful weepy eye sucks.

We need to take care of our peepers. We only get one set and we can't replace them. *cuewaterworks*

I'm sorry, TRBL. Eye pain is so deeply uncomfortable.

I have a wee crush. I don't even know his name, just his profession. He looks good in a suit, has started speaking to me more and more every time we see each other (which is always more in a brief passing, and just a hand full of times), and I almost walked into a wall yesterday because I was looking at him rather than where I was going.

So yeah, that's about it.

Ding, ding, ding!! You just won a cruise (but I wouldn't take with all the mishaps aboard these days).

He is handsome. Not one of the 6ft ++ GQ model lawyers I have spoke about before. He's more of a 5'9" seemingly nice and quite charming man in his mid to late 30's. I wouldn't go in to the court room with popcorn to watch him. I'd take a notepad.

Thanks, Eilonwy. I knew Lotsa was g-stringranny; I was just making silly rhymes.

I was just going through the voicemails on my phone, trying to delete some. I have a ton from my dad that I have not been able to listen to yet. I listened to a few, and laughed my a$$ off. He called me 3 times in a row one day, and left 3 identical msgs.

"La, la, la la, la. La, la, la la, lah!"

Was he watching the Smurf's? Perhaps.'

yesterday I went to an animal shelter site to get donation information - and ended up looking at dogs - and stumbled across one who looks a lot like my Finlay, a cute little poodle mix. I really don't need another dog - but he's so darn cute. (obviously I would meet him and have Finlay meet him prior to any adoption)

but, I sort of tabled it in my head and was talking to a coworker about it this morning, saying that I really didn't want to pay adoption fees right now in addition to the additional pet fee at my apt, etc etc. But that my parents were looking and maybe they'd go out and see him

I went on the site to show her the little guy and I see a banner announcing fee-waived adoptions this weekend (!!!!)

(to be clear, I can afford to adopt another dog and provide for him, but it's much nicer when the fee is waived)

so now I'm thinking about it.....

Perri! Go for it! I've been looking around for a dog lately. Trying to figure out where to go and who to see. I've got a coupe of dogs that I've seen online that I'd like to go meet and see if they are for me, but some of them are asking for crazy adoption amounts.

I'm willing to pay, but like you, its better when its waived.

Good luck!

I called the shelter and talked to the lady and asked about temperment, etc - he sounds very much like Finlay did when I brought him home - terrified of everything. He does need help with his potty training, but he's 4 years old, so he's smart enough to "hopefully" catch on quickly.

Now, it is sort of down to "how much responsibility do I want" - Finlay and I have a fantastic, quiet little life - I'm not sure I want to disrupt that.

so, I've told myself that I won't make any decisions this weekend, I don't want to get him "just because he's free"

I've got an appt to meet him later this afternoon but right now I am thinking it may be best to cancel it and to think on it longer.

Fifi, this just brought tears to my eyes. I just realized I have nothing with my dad's voice. Five years and I still miss him calling people "sapsuckers" (his substitute for mf's).

I'm dog-less.

And sad about it. I'm looking around. But I've wanted to get the home totally reorganized before I got one for myself.

I really want a doggie friend though.

I really can't wrap my head around a grown person doing this and the fact you have to see it.

Nope, not wrong at all
