Finally, I've found a way to make the frizzy front of my hair look halfway decent: 2-strand twists.

I hope this storm passes quickly. It is scaring my cats to death. The thunder is so loud, it is shaking the house.

It was kind of funny when one of my cats flew off the couch sideways, hit the ground, and tripped over her own paws trying to run away, and meowed several cranky meows in the process. Just don't tell her I said that.

Hi Ms. FabuDoggieMama! I'm smurgly, yeah not sure what that means, I just made it up.

There is a good chance I'll finally get hired where I've been temping, so that's good, right?

I really really need to mow my lawn.

My eye infection is gone, it did scar slightly, but it's not in my line of vision. The eye dr. strongly suggest I see if I'm a good canidate for Lasik. I'm farsighted, so it's a little harder to be a viable option.

My husband made me a latte and toast (homemade bread) w/cinnamon & sugar this morning, that makes me warm & fuzzy inside.

Our doggie loves my husband more. I'm going on the theory it's because he is with her more, but I really think it's just a special thing with them. At least she poos for me. I'm the poo queen at our house. She is very nervous outside, so getting her to go to the bathroom can be a challenge.

And I'm officially babbling... How are you doing??

I'm fine, thanks. It's raining here, so the dogs are not happy about walkies. Claude's head stays wet even when I rub it dry.

I'm glad about the job for you --- are you happy there?

Sometimes dogs like one person more for a while, then it changes again. I got one of the poodles to favor me after I noted he preferred my ex. It bugged me. My now poodle who lives with him definitely loves him more. It stings, but they're happy. (Sob.)

Woo hoo Rou!

_____

Smuh?? I just got an email from the recruiting department where I'm trying to get hired - the company they use for background checks wants further contact info for a company I worked at TWENTY YEARS AGO. Um no, I don't have that. I called the recruiter to see if they really needed it, thankfully she said no, and she'd let the background company know that 10 years of employment history is all they require. SERIOUSLY though, I'm kinda dumbfounded!

I'm watching a documentary called A Man Named Pearl.

I love it. He had such a wonderful yard! And to live so... I don't even have the word.... just a wonderful story. Pearl is someone who I would have liked to know.

Thank God! There is hope. I just looked at a recent debate poll and 77% of people think political correctness has gotten completely out of hand in the US.

Don't get me wrong. I do not condone slurs, and have no problem with being PC. It's a good thing BUT I have some major issues when it crosses over a form of over reactive, self absorbed, nit picky hysteria that lacks context, comprehension, rational or reasoning... In the name of being PC. And that's my 2 cents.

Ah, all my cleaning is done (except laundry), I am showered, and ready to play a video game for a little while and then paint my nails.

Congratulations on 2 years, Rou!!

I like to celebrate my work anniversary. It feels good. It also feels like it's flown by, but good. No matter how much I may fuss about it, I love it, and I like being committed to it.

Speaking of, I giggled like crazy when I came across several articles and blogs instructing people on how to quit every job (in 2 weeks to 1 year) and still be considered a desirable candidate to future employers. The answer, lie or exaggerate your resume. All I could think was... Good luck with that, and I hope no one seriously considers that good advice
