Me too! Her ears are the cutest things ever! Its like they are magnetic or something along the edge because they are always touching. When she is serious she separates them, but they are either a heart or a giant triangle on the top of her head.

Sometimes they remind me of a towel wrapped around her head or a very cute bandana with the tied off edges of the bandana are on the top of her head like Rosie the Riveter.

I just love her. She is a good girl. She comes, she listens. Shes a puppy so she runs around like a wild woman, but when she gets tired, shes out. And she is very affectionate. A quick learner.

OK. Proud mama is going to shut it up now.

What style tap shoe did you get Claudine? I have a pair of jazz shoe ones. I loved tap. I shuffle off to Buffalo all the time. At my last job i would tap while I made copies.

Are you taking classes? Have fun with the taps!!!

Make it stop I hate allergies. I go to bed with pain and pressure and wake up possessed by sneezy.

When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Some people just have no sense of loyalty and responsibility towards their colleagues. Last week one of our EN's walked out, three hours into an eight hour shift, because she didn't like the workload she'd been given. She left the other two staff to cover the whole ward (not big numbers but still busy) for three hours until one of the afternoon staff, who agreed to come in early, could get there. So unprofessional - we all want to walk away sometimes but you just don't do it.
Two days later she was back. She's fairly new, still casual and it's not the first time there's been issues with her, I don't think I would've been giving her another shift.

She was infamous for calling out at the last minute because she was sick or upset, leaving her shift in a mess, and then posting pic's of herself getting loaded at a bar on FB a few hours later.

Nothing but space between her ears.

I must stop speaking with people who are known to cause me tension, stress, and make me feel... SO.ANGRY. I really need to set a better boundary and not get sucked into her kind of crazy. The knot in my back would appreciate it. My blood pressure would appreciate it. Sigh. I really must get better about this.

^ That and crocodile tears. I told my then shift supervisor she was trouble 2 weeks after she was hired and told my boss to let her go a couple months later. If you can't handle being corrected during training with out bursting into tears, you need to go. It never mattered anyway. She never learned and there was always a tear filled excuse. "I can't learn unless I read it from a book or something". Okay, I spend hours typing out everything for her, hand it to her, and get, "but I already have something like this and it didn't help either" cry and pout. What? Be given the exact address on a call, and turn around and give out something completely different on the radio... "I know she said ... but I thought... is what she really meant" sniff/cry/my daddy won't have my car tuned and I don't know what to do. I'm upset and it's bothering me. I'm sorry.

GTFO! You're too dumb to function. Thank god it wasn't a life or death matter. 3 years later she was no better. She just had a partner who bought all her tears, covered her mistakes, and did all the work for her.

Minxy, imo, you may carry on all you like about Ms. Puppykins. She's a living doll!

I bought really basic tap shoes. Low heeled, with the kind of metal plates that only make a single tap, if that makes sense (I know there's a technical name for it somewhere). The brand is Capezio; they were inexpensive and they arrived in four days!

The place where I'll be taking a class (once a week) only allows for black shoes, so the red ones I have somewhere in the attic will remain there (and that's fine).

Thanks for asking. I'm sure I'll feel silly, but wth? It's good exercise, and the dogs can spare me for an extra hour per week. (Although I actually miss them, the goons.)

Oh it will be so much fun! Enjoy it! I loved tap. I took the class in when I was going to community college.

I also took a salsa class with my mom at the community center where I grew up about 6-7 years ago. It was fun. I like to believe that I looked great. I enjoyed myself, so as far as I'm concerned, I was a fluid graceful dancer.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Capezio used to be "the brand" in dance wear and shoes. I had to order all of my leotards, tights, and shoes from them. They are still a fantastic company, but have many more competitors now. I miss my light tan tap shoes with heels. They were so comfortable! I covered them in red glitter for a halloween costume, and my mom tossed them

I actually met one of the top dogs/fathers of invention in dance shoes when I went to NY. His name slips my mind right now (that was in the early 90's). He danced in the Harlem Ballet and also in several troupes overseas. He invented the split soled ballet/jazz/tap shoe. He gave us a personal tour, let us watch some classes, etc. Incredibly nice man! We were there the day the Rodney King riots broke out, and had walked several blocks to his studio. It was getting late and he refused to let us walk back. He caught us a cab and paid the driver. It didn't really get bad in NY, but that was very sweet of him.

Crap! What is his name?? That's going to make me crazy now.

I love my split soled jazz shoes! I still have them actually. I wore the big toe out on one of them, but still, I loved them.

My taps are capezios too.

I miss dance class. I doubt I was ever really good at it, but I love to do it. And that is what counts right?!?!?!?

That just reminded me... I found my very first pair of ballet shoes not too long ago. They are so itty bitty and worn out I was so proud of those shoes, and practically lived in them. I want to put them on a ribbon and hang them some where in my house.

I wanted to be a ballerina, more than anything, but my feet turned in. I was told not to expect much. Taking ballet actually help me correct that problem (with time) and I was picked to go into an advanced younger class my 2nd year. It was more passion than technical perfection for me, but I worked my little butt off to make my feet behave I took tap and jazz as well. I wish I could have continued, funny feets and all, but I had to have surgery and that ended my dance class days. It took many years to recover. I'd love to take some classes again. It's a lot of fun.

PS:
Minxy... I am in love with those puppy ears.
