Say It. I Dare You.

Conversation with a new intern (at lunch):

Int: So how long have you been married?

Me: It's hard to believe, but it will be 22 years this fall.

Int: Wow! My parents have only been married for like 20!

Me: You realize you just told me I'm old enought to be your mother, right?

So, is it a good idea or a bad idea to wait before making a radical change to one's hair? I'm thinking of going significantly shorter, and I'm nervous that my stylist will try to talk me out of it. (The length of time involved is a week.)

Minxy, class was good. I'm a bit behind since I missed a week, but I still had fun. I have some homework. I looked really silly in my shiny shoes with a big, dumb bow in the center, but so be it.

I guess it's better to look like a chubby kid than a skinny old person, right? (Or so I tell myself when I look at my fat knees in the full length mirror.)

I woke up from a dream this morning saying, "It's okay, I'll just ask FiFi, she works in emergency services, she'll know what to do"

I'm taking it as a sign of two things:
1. possibly I'm spending too much time on nc.com
2. Fifi - you must REALLY be good if even my subconscious knows you are the go-to person!

There is no such thing as spending too much time with curlies.

I wonder what it was you were going to ask.

My hair is going to be one hell of a hot mess in the morning. I can already tell. Humidity, storms, frizz, and forget fly aways... It's already gone.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

My temptation is to always head for the alcohol as well, but I have a fear of turning into Homer Simpson when I'm drunk, which I would hate to see happen to you, too.

Oh the many times I come in to the office with wet hair... seriously it's almost everyday. It's dry by 9-9:30ish. Hair is just not something I spend a ton of time on. Is that weird to say on a hair board?

OMG!!!!

i just had the loveliest evening!

my friend Lois is in town from up north and she had to show me her new baby:

a BMW convertible!!!

i tied a scarf around my head and put on my biggest sunglasses and we drove up to Grand Bend to get some ice cream!!!!

i *totally* pretended i was Grace Kelly driving on the Riviera with Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief!!!

^ That sounds like fun. I love riding around in a convertible. One of my oldest friends used to pick me up in hers and we would ride around for hours. We would be silent most of the time, and then one of us would rant about something, we'd talk, and then go back to silence until the next topic came up. We always felt 200x better about the world when we came to a stop.

I can not wait to go to the doctor tomorrow, and coming from me that says a lot. They had a cancellation, and worked me in a little sooner. I've got to get my allergy shot, see if I have an ear infection, and get my spreading rash checked. I am falling apart.

I don't think waiting makes a difference. Either you look good w/ short hair or you don't...and have the patience/skill to deal w/ it or not...IMO.
3b (with 3c tendencies) on modified CG

Fifi - hope all goes well tomorrow!

2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift

At least I have tomorrow off. I expect my apt to take a long time, since I was worked in, and I expect shots and different meds so I am going to take it easy and do as directed. My other partner will be back, and I'm getting welts on my hips so sitting for 12 is not too comfortable.

It will be nice to get out of here for a day. It's been incredibly wild.

Fuzzy Wuzzy is called a bear in that poem. Humpty Dumpty isn't called an egg. I and I think a lot of other people assumed he was. He looks like an egg. What random thoughts run thru my head at times. You started this CP!

Okay, the last thing I need today is a pervert lurking around a park videotaping women and children. We have had enough of weirdo's.

That creeps me out.
