Yes, despite the post I wrote, this grosses me out. The doctor who was telling me about overuse of soap and hand washing emphasized that in hospitals it is essential, and I think that probably includes doctors, dentists. etc.

there is absolutely nothing worse than a shallow person. if you're shallow in any way and you dare to voice it in any way, I will refuse to interact with you in any way. if you don't like someone's hair, body type, piercings, tattoos, what they're wearing, how they choose to do their makeup, shut up. if your opinion on appearance is not asked for, don't give it unless you're complimenting someone.

Irks me so bad when people judge based on appearance, whether it be a choice or not.

Really? You want me to go away with you and a group of many others, several hours' drive each way to attend a shower for you even though all of the people you expect to make this trip are throwing you a shower a few weeks later.
You did this when you got married, 3 or 4 events that everyone was expected to attend. I was over it then, I'm over it now.

I just had one of this moments where I was sure I sent something to the wrong person. My adrenaline is still up. Thankfully it was sent to the correct person

i got my mortgage renewal in the mail today.

since this is my first time renewing (can y'all believe it's 5 years since i bought my house???), i am wondering if i should attempt to negotiate with them...

they only offered me a 5-year closed (and the rate is GREAT compared to what i got 5 years ago), but i want a 10-year and there's a local lender (been around for over a century, so it's not a fly-by-night) that has a 10-year rate that is 0.33 points lower than the 10-year my current lender has.

0.3 points may not sound like much but it's almost $20 per payment difference.

I was dating this guy and Valentine's Day was coming up and we were going out to dinner. I bought a red dress and a purple dress. I sent an email to my friend (or so I thought) asking her which dress I should wear. I thought the red might be too obvious and everyone would be wearing that color. I even told her how important it was that I look especially nice since our relationship was fairly new and I was hoping it would evolve into something more serious. Well....it ended up that I sent it to him instead. He sent me back an email that said this...????? I didn't know how to respond so I didn't and he never questioned me about it.

Thanks, TRBL. He's my nephew. Can you believe he's allergic to dogs? Someone related to me is allergic to dogs?

Rou, I think you should look into the other lender.

I actually saw mince pies in the supermarket today. I did a double take but it was definitely 'Christmas Mince Pies'.
It is still July isn't it? I mean, I haven't been trapped in some weird time warp have I?

Mia ate another pair of my slippers this morning. That was the pair I bought to replace the first ones she ate.

This is how I feel about it:

No, I'm not going to create a new C.V. for you. To do so would take hours. I'm not that kind of writer, anyway. Frankly, I think it was rude as h*** of you to ask for something so challenging from me, anyway. I wouldn't do it even if you paid me, not that you offered.

Why has my afternoon gone so completely to pot? I am very annoyed right now. "Big favor" indeed.
