I was not expecting to meet a weathered man in overalls today, but he certainly knew his stuff.

^ That sounds like a great opening line for a novel.

Lotsa! Where is your mind? oh nevermind I know where it is.

I (the ever innocent one, (snort)) was thinking of a crime caper.

I hope my Aunt finds the stuff I need. I thought at one point we had all the origins of my dads surname down, but I can't find it. It's a tricky one, too. One of those 18+ variations due to everyone spelling things how they sound that was eventually shortened for Murica. I know it's all Northern Ireland, and possibly originated in a county just under the Plantation of Ulster that has some of the oldest Gaelic ruins, and was involved in the turmoil, but... I want to remember the exact counties that everyone came from. Not that I plan to visit. I want to, more than anything, but I have a feeling my distant relatives have been busy um... misbehaving for a number of years.

Actually, I had been riding in a black car with a dark haired male co-worker, so I felt more like Scully and Mulder out on a case.

A (big building machine I'm not supposed to mention) case.

Let me just add that there was "Goo Gone" in the background.

I (gullible more so than innocent) too was thinking of a crime caper / mystery novel.

It's strange, isn't it, when it hits you that the world has continued on and so much time has passed? ((((Fifi))))

I know...I can't believe my mom's been gone for 18 months and my dad died 8 years ago. It seems like only a few months for both of them.

It is weird. You're at a stand still while moving, and then it catches up. At least thinking about him, and other family members, has prompted me to get back into my genealogy. I enjoy it.

((((Hugs ladies))))

I finally watched the video of the woman throwing a tantrum over not going to the lake. WOW. My mom told me about it. I think divorce was a rather wise decision in that situation. Both of them seemed a bit selfish. I was puzzled by one discussion on it. A reporter said the husband should have never pushed her buttons and filmed it (I can agree with that being immature as well) and he should have pulled the car over, turned it off, and...

Stay composed/Don't Shame
Speak with compassion
Validate their emotions
Offer a choice

I'm sorry, but I can't validate anyone acting like a 3 year old over not being able to go to the lake. You can be pretty sure her parents followed the above steps, and that is part of the problem. She was seriously screaming like a banshee.

I love how a random text from my bestie can brighten my day.

"Have all your Damien Rice CD's ready for my next visit. I want to burn them. I want to burn them all, cause they be the devils work".

It was a bit of a caper.

(I'm far more likely to go out on a caper than have a passionate romantic moment or fling, Lotsa.)

Sometimes, when looking at beautiful antique pie chests, one has to step back and think... How many pies were you baking, woman?

^ I've often wondered that, Fifi. Just how many pies can one bake in addition to all the other drudgery one would have had to do???
