Sadie was checked and rewrapped today; so far, so good. She's getting a little too comfortable with her cone of shame, bashing around the house, so I've rearranged the furniture a bit to prevent accidents. We had walkies during which she had to wear little improvised booties due to rain, and she moved along fine (albeit looking really goofy).

I'm hoping her wraps come off at the end of the week, but her sutures need to be secure enough to ensure continued healing. So, we're just letting the vet call the shots.

Thanks for enquiring, friends.

Fif, what's happening on your end?

Did I remember to mention that you ladies are the best? No? Okay, I'll mention it:

You curlies, wavies, type-anything twists are the best. I am so glad to be your e-friends (and IRL friend, Scrills, though you never reassured me you'd wear a helmet with the scooter ).

Will do.

I have to say, as upset as I feel about this event, she truly looked funny this afternoon, bobbing along in her I-V bag booties and her cone, the edge of which I've had to wrap in duct tape (it was surprisingly sharp!). Naturally the only shade of duct tape I have is hot pink, so........imagine a little brindle nutcase with a crazy smile, banging along in clear medical booties and a sloppy cone (poorly) edged in pink.

Oh, Sadie. You are my challenge and my delight.

Good news, Claudine!! That makes me happy for you and Miss Sadie.

Sorry it took me so long. I've had company most of the day, and had to catch up on some late night chores I'm happy to report that my little Bunny asked for food 3 times today (and considering how little she had eaten since friday, I obliged). She also drank a large amount of water, and even though I can tell she is in some pain, she is acting more like herself. I called the vet this morning, they had to track down the vet assistant and ask what she gave her (because she didn't document it) and they believe she had an allergic reaction. So no more of that!! Thank you for asking You are the best! (((Many hugs)))

Has your young neighbour seen her - the one who makes comments about Polly ? Hope he's not nasty about Sadie too.

Claudine and Fifi, I'm so glad your critters are on the mend!

We're away this week with hideous cell signal. Rou, I'm trying to send an email to you, but it keeps bouncing back. I'll keep trying though.

Thanks, B. I'm glad they are too. A sick furby will about give you a heart attack. :-/

I cleaned day before yesterday, and yesterday morning, and finished up all my laundry & went over everything again last night. I was so ready to wake up to a sparkling clean house and not have to worry about anything while doing nights. I woke up to chunks of cat hair blowing around like tumble weeds. They must have had a knock down drag out while I slept. Yep, everything is going back to normal.

Fifi, I tried to like one of your posts above but it wouldn't let me. No idea why.

Starmie, no — that little boy hasn't seen her, which is good, because I'm not in the mood for any bologna right now.

You're a veggie head, never in the mood for bologna, which is ok in my book. Even as an omnivore, I find bologna - of all varieties - rather squicky

I just cancelled my Birchbox subscription. I've been wanting to since February but was afraid I might miss something AWESOME. AWESOME has not arrived, so I'm done.
Considering switching to IPSY Glambag

I read through these reviews yesterday:

Pink Sith: Ipsy July Bag - Review, Pictures Swatches

she has them all up for the year (maybe she's missing march, but regardless, it's a pretty good idea of what is included)

I've read that IPSY is much more consistent, everyone pretty much gets the same items, or there are only 1 or 2 bags for the month (with colors being different only) vs Birchbox, where you can get full size great products and someone else gets nothing but tiny little samples. I was giving away more than I was using or trying, and they gave me perfume often (and I'm allergic, so it's pointless). I have a friend who was considering IPSY, she's on vacation, but I should know in the next few days if she likes it better than Birchbox.
