I had a dream that I was reading an article about how Regan was trying to be like Harry Truman (in a turtleneck and blazer). As I was reading this, my hair was falling out. So strange

Sorry Scrills, but that made me laugh out loud.

From Michael Berg:

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."
I came home today to find a care package from one of my dearest friends (who lives in Wales). My favorite cookies and art work by her kids. I cried.

I'm shocked and amazed!! They actually removed the bench outside of my office building that has been ready to collapse for 2 years. Now... Let's see if they actually manage to replace it. They need to do something with both. These things give you splinters in the ass every time you sit on them.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Taking about religion made me think of something I want to rant about. I wish my cousins wife would loosen up a bit. Like Mr. Brown, she's too saved. Hehe. She went off the deep end of the baptismal pool several years ago, and has not came back to shore yet. It's been the end of the world for 15 years now. Anywho, She did another Facebook post earlier about her son still wanting to watch Harry Potter. He is 16 now, and has been asking since the movies were released. She thinks he's going to revert to witch craft and devil worship. They raised very sweet, kind, intelligent, and musically gifted young man who is heavily involved in his church. If Harry Potter causes him to lose his faith, something is wrong. #1 You thinking your well rounded child is that week minded is wrong, imho, BUT that is her choice though, and one everyone has respected. Even though he will beg you to let him watch it when she is not around. That sucks, because I am so tempted to corrupt Don't get me wrong. My cousins wife is a fantastic person. She's just had some challenges with a special needs child (her wonderful and might I add very outspoken, not even remotely shy, little firecracker of a daughter) and threw everything she had into church as means to cope. With each passing year and new situation or thought like... "Your daughter has reached her full learning ability", will she ever have a boyfriend? will she ever get married? she can not care for a child, etc... she retreats further into her bubble. Much of it is worry (and understandably so) but it seems to have consumed her. I would like to see her break out of the bubble from time to time. She has an amazing family (it's hard to find better kids), and she has to let her son make some decisions at some point.

I've got to get in the bed! I took off a bit early so I can catch 5 hours of sleep, get up, and do a bunch of stuff I will not be able to do mon-fri next week. I ended up getting side tracked by this zitplosion my chin. I had one that was fading, and one the size of earth that has now divided into 5 but I have 7 total. What? How does this happen over night? Is there enough ACV toner in the world? I need Morgan Freeman to answer these questions for me because this is a Through The Wormhole moment.

My Mom is having a baby shower for a friend on Sunday and I texted her asking if she needed help with anything. She's having it catered, but these are the messages that followed

I progressed to two, and when I felt like I had the right balance for my skin I mixed a little ACV with mostly distilled water in a bottle, and keep it refrigerated. They way I can just spray down my cotton pad or ball. It's all custom, based on your skin sensitivity. Some can handle much more ACV. You just never want it to burn (like straight up ACV would) or feel drying. It is really good, and will get rid of zits fairly quickly. No super miracle, but it reduces the time. Especially if you hold the cotton ball on it for a moment.

I didn't quite mean to wake up this early. 30 min to 1 hour more sleep would have been okay

I'll post a pic soon (I'm a crazy bed head right now), but I love my hair!! I didn't do the ombre. I actually went straight up darker auburn. What possessed me... Who knows! It goes well with my complexion though, and actually brightens it and my eyes. I was able to do it in a temporary stain which is much easier on my hair. I'm going to give it a little while to mellow and get the initial fading done, and then I am getting just a few, thin, highlights. Not blonde, but lighter and perhaps brighter red.

Other than that... I am so worn out. Little sleep yesterday, traffic was so insane I couldn't make it to my hair apt until 4, a woman had came in before me to get her hair relaxed and like me, it takes a while to get her hair done. I didn't actually get in the chair until 5:30 which was absolutely fine. As the woman was talking I kept thinking I know her... I know that voice... And I did. She is the grandmother of one of my best friends in high school. I had not seen her in 20 years (and not seen him since he moved away 15 years ago) and I actually talked to her on the phone more than I saw her. My friend went to her house every day after school and every Sunday so I called there often. Lol. It was so good to see her and talk to her. She is 88 now. We talked about our families, our hair and about one of my favorite things in the world... green beans. Greasy backs and peanut beans to be precise. Everyone has had a tragic amount of rot and rust due to the rain and she had been working in the bean patch trying to salvage what she could. Any the who, I loved catching up with her. After the hair apt was said and done I had just enough time to get home, pick up a little, and change clothes before company came. Whew! Today I am bumming it!

I need to take a quick shower and run out before I settle in to my movie day. I'm not supposed to wash my hair for 2 days but no one said I couldn't co wash it. Oh no they didn't I feel the need for a little extra moisture and a good rinse. I never feel like my hair is rinsed well at the salon. They always miss parts, no matter how many times I ask them to go back over it. Plus I need to get this stain off my forehead and neck. I tried last night but failed to get all of it. My stylist (I hate saying that for some reason but she prefers it) was a bit messy yesterday. She typically does a great job but I am considering looking elsewhere after we do the highlights. She's getting a little too scatterbrained for my liking, and has too many distractions. 8 people came by to visit her as she was doing my hair. She asked me to come outside and discuss the game plan for my hair while the other client had a 15 minute relax and wait period. We go out, and she gets on FB on her phone, and stayed on it until we only had a few min to talk. Just stuff like that. It's not actually the work she does, she is just getting too lazy otherwise. She just bought her own salon, it is very tiny, and always filled with loud people who want her to come outside and see this or do that as she is applying color, etc. That isn't the best way to pull in and keep customers.

Why does this have to be such a pain? I ran into the same problem with the last person who did my hair and he eventually ended up butchering it because he couldn't focus.

Come to think of it... That happened with the one before him too. She always had 6 or 7 of her girlfriends in the salon and the last time she touched my hair she screwed up the back. It was supposed to be cut straight across and one side was half an inch longer than the other. I had her fix it and didn't go back.

Eee. It's only 65 degrees today. Where did summer go? Perhaps I should stop somewhere and buy a new light weight sweater. Seems like a good excuse to me.

You probably need a new sweater to go with your new hair
