Thanks to everyone who responded about Linda R. It really hit me because I have an idea of what she is going to go through and I always liked her a lot.

Things are looking good so far. Previous tenants left a really small baby gate that a kitten could leap over. I wanted something more so I wouldn't have to be right there the whole time. But I had a hunch and decided to try a supervised visit. So I put up the gate, and prepared myself with a spray bottle and a broom.

There's been some hissing and growling, but it's mostly been silent observation and ignoring each other. For the last hourish she's been doing her own thing and passing by the door to look at him. He's been asleep most the time.

I do not understand how a couple in my neighborhood remain at large. They do not work, have lost all their children (from different mothers and fathers), have legal issues, and disappear for days at a time. They have caused a lot of upset in the community through violence and other behavior (drugs, etc.).

When, oh when, will they finally vanish?

I have a huge mosiquito bite on my forehead. Thankfully it has not required IV antihistimins (wow Rou what did you let bite you??). But it itches and is ugly.

[QUOTE=rouquinne;2203364]it was an evil spider, TRBL!

/QUOTE]

I clicked on this link, knowing what TRBL had asked and seeing that Rou had responded and was chanting at my monitor "don't say it, Rou, don't say it, please, don't say it was a spider" - because while I figured it was one, the thought of it has me covered in goosebumps and saying ICKI.CK.ICK

best commentary on last night's "performance" by Miley Cyrus:

Obituary: Hannah Montana dies of neglect and shame at the VMAs - The Globe and Mail

"...generally pranced around with the clunky and airless charm of a 75-year-old woman who lives her entire life without ever doing anything naughty and suddenly throws her reputation out the window during one bad moment at a wedding reception."

Luke, my son, is in a skateboarding video contest. Skating is not just a hobby for him, it is his sport and his passion. He taught himself to skate at 4 and has never stopped. If he wins he plans on investing it back into skateboarding. Please show your support by voting for him! He works so hard! You can vote once a day for the next week. He is currently tied for first and it's only day 1.

Well I voted but the vote count stayed the same, hmm.

I hope he does well, it's good for kids to have a passion, especially at such a young age. Go Luke!!!
