Ah! This was about to make me crazy. To show the difference in states

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1378633167.542637.jpg

All the ones in green allow all levels of EMT to administer and maybe all (basic, intermediate and paramedic) to carry and some may only allow I & P or P to carry. Red, Basics can only help with Rx and the rest all differ under med control.
My state also has a law allowing laypersons 18 and older, who have a responsibility for people, to be trained to carry and administer due to insect bite.

I knew there was something with that.

I should have gotten in bed earlier, but I pushed it by sleeping later Damn wet hair.

Wtf is the point of putting specific selections in the drop down box if they are all going to be rejected when you attempt to use them because the length is too long for the field? That is the dumbest bleepity bleeping bleep, ever and it should not be this much of a cluster to remove something.

That'd be the one. Lucky us.

Aw, we love Aussies. We all have our embarrassing leaders from time to time (this is not a furtive dig at Obama, btw, although I am a little mad at him right now, though I'm sure a beer and a quick chat could fix everything).

We won't hold him against you. How could be be mad at a country that produced the wombat?

So, someone from whom I've distanced myself confronted me about it this afternoon. She wonders why I avoid her now. The fact is, she believes in "keeping the peace" and "going along to get along" to the point of remaining friendly with her troublemaking, criminal neighbors. I don't share her philosophy.

I remained vague and said it was nothing personal. Was this the best course of action?

Whatever helps you feel peaceful in your life. I think (for me, at least), I tend to care too much about the other person's interpretation/feelings/thoughts about things. I mean something like this, where I've found who they are/what they believe/how they treat others to be in conflict with how I wish to live my life. I end up causing myself more anxiety/stress than I need to.
I usually just do a slow fade, and if asked go with something along the lines of "things going on", "really busy", "been introspective lately" and carry on.
I don't like conflict but also I don't see the point of telling someone.

My current example is a very self centered friend of mine. Telling her she's self centered would do no good, she really believes herself to be the opposite. And, she's an adult, it's not my place to tell her the world is not about her. So, I rarely socialize with her and don't really engage her in conversation. She notices, I know, but thinks it's just me being weird. I'm fine with that, it keeps my world calm and peaceful.

Yes, I wrote a lot to basically say what I said in the first sentence.

One of my former classmates just posted the best status. "Where do you go to eat when you're a plastic surgeon"? A pic of a Hooters menu was included. Haha! You sneaky girl.

She does strike me as a female Christian Troy. She's all, it was fun... Now get out! All over the interwebs.

I do disagree with her philosophy. She loathes the people with whom she strives to keep the peace, as they have caused a lot of trouble among the community and for others (including me). It seems that every other week the police are called to deal with some chaos, crime, or crappy behavior they've committed.

I don't see the point of keeping the peace with people like that. Especially, when she slams them verbally behind their backs. I guess I see it as phony, mean-girl behavior. Does ignoring a nuisance seem akin to approval?

I don't know. Her falsity leads me to believe she is untrustworthy. If she's "nice" to them though she actually dislikes them, how can I know she's truthful in her behavior toward me?

She has next to no female friends of which I'm aware. And she prefers to work only with men. This doesn't seem like normal adult female social behavior to me, but I know I fall outside the box as well, with my own disinterest in both children and romantic relationships. Do we all overlook our own flaws in favor of judging others more harshly?

I guess I just don't respect her. Phoniness bugs me (although of course I engage it too, at work, especially).

I'm uncomfortable with all this. I so rarely have conflicts with women.

if she were frightened by them, it might be a reason to keep the peace. In my experience, I just avoid neighbors like that (obv if there is criminal activity that I see, etc, I'd report it). I certainly wouldn't engage in chit chat or go out of my way to make "nice" with them.

I've been pondering the whole do we over look things in ourselves and judge others harshly for the past few weeks/months. I don't have a good answer yet (or maybe I do but don't like the answer so I'm still pondering).

This is what I think: she makes your soul feel funky. That's enough, really.

You're right! She makes my soul feel funky. Good phrase.

Basically we disagree on how to handle problem people. I allow them absolutely no access whatsoever. She makes nice. Rather different philosophies, I'd say.

Thank you.

I have next to no female friends in my day to day. I think many women can say that. I used to have more, but things changed. Their lives and mine went in different directions. I still love them, but we don't spend much time together anymore. I think that's part of the reason why I liked it here. It's been missing. I've always gotten along with more guys, and a fewer women who I adored as well. I think that's because I grew up in a house with my mom, dad, and 2 brothers and all of their guy friends were always around. My dad had more female friends, and he had more women around him growing up. I also prefer working with men, because I've had some horror show experiences with women hired in our office. I've had 5 different women go after my throat or try to hit my heart in the office (3 at once, the moment I walked in the door) and only had a tiff with one man. That's when he was working with one of the other two I went a few rounds with. That's just been my experience and what has shaped my opinions, and I know many women who are the same.

I don't know if we overlook our own flaws or if we just don't know/can't get where some people are coming from at times.

With that said, she may be a real witch. I don't know.

I guess if I'm honest I prefer working alone, but in my setting of the last 10 years, men are the more mellow species.

I'm late starting BB, but it was worth it. I spent some time playing with my cousins dog, after I caught her. My windows are open, she heard turkeys on my tv, and went insane! She was trying to find them. I have no idea what she would do if she did. The ones on my mountain are 4 feet taller than her.

Apple Pectin and Wella Balsam... I want to smell them right now!! The smells of childhood.

Cholesterol and a hooded dryer wouldn't hurt either.
