Say It. I Dare You.

Give me a break! I was getting ready to turn the TV off when I saw a commercial for "Raising McCain" or "We didn't write the rules so shouldn't we break them/re write them? and/or "Not your mothers talk show". Prove to me you know the difference between re write and re name (pardon, "brand" and maybe I'll listen. I could tell in 2 seconds that it would annoy the crap out of me, so I googled it, naturally.

Seems Boston Globe feels the same.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

When I said nap, I didn't mean literally My internal time clock is a freak! Wah. If I'm not in bed by 9 I am completely messed up. So, I'm now reading and wishing the Parents Television Council would (long list of expletives) in Hell. I don't think they could get on more peoples nerves than they are right now. Why are you flipping out over a television show that is rated M for mature and airs at 10pm on a school night? It's obviously, and explicitly, not meant for children. One would also have to watch SOA to get the importance of their season premier, and understand that it is not intended to glorify school shootings. If you want to be pissed at someone, be pissed at news stations who swarm during actual school shootings and shove a microphone in the face of a child in shock. When it comes to a show for adults, who have actually watched it and understand it, you ain't my mama!

I do agree that people should have the options to pick and choose their networks rather than buying a package (we've all been harping on that one for years) but not due to some moral pilgrimage over one TV show. It just makes no sense when you don't watch half the channels.

** Billy Ray is on the advisory board of the PTC. Haha. Probably not anymore.

I'm still getting a chuckle over this.

http://www.businessinsider.com/fans-...casting-2013-9

The article is from the 3rd but I do believe the Twitter War still lingers. Close to 8000 signatures on a petition demanding different actors because "It's not what I want!"

I literally, have never...

ETA: I did mean to include this

Both Bomer, 35, and Bledel, 31, were aware of the incessant fans demanding to see them strip on screen, and both have expressed that they are "flattered," if not a little freaked out.

"People definitely do have strong opinions about it," Bledel told Elle magazine last year. "I guess when people really identify with a concept, they feel strongly about it."

Bomer confessed that he hadn't read the books yet, speaking to Access Hollywood.

To demand that people be cast, who did not even audition for the roles, is a little bit beyond delusional.

On a related note: My boss said something about installing cameras and I climbed his frame. If you are a bank employee, handle money, handle merchandise, or have been robbed... I can understand. I will not be recorded while I sit in a chair for 12 hours. That is the most pointless isht ever, and would be beyond boring. There is already a camera on our door, and some outside. That's all that is needed. You spend as much time here as you do at home. It is a second home, and no body is installing cameras in my living room.

** That's just peep hole in the wall creepy to me.

My eye seems better, it's a shame as I'm enjoying this scarf and eye patch.

I got some errands done, then my mom came over and I cooked her lunch. I also made quinoa for the first time.

I have a fear of cooking (very long story but can actually cause panic attacks) so this has been a banner day for me.

I'll be taking her home soon then taking my nap!

omigoodness!

our Regional Senior Justice is sooooo happy with me and my work on the event!!!

eta. so, let me tell you what happened...

i called Justice M's assistant to ask if i could pick her brain for a few things on the event. she said to come on up, that Justice M had been asking her if she had received any updates on it.

before i went up, i printed out a copy of the Order of Proceedings, labelled it "Justice M's Working Copy" and highlighted her parts in pink.

when i got to the 10th floor and was buzzed in, Justice M comes to her office door and says "come in, rou, i've been waiting for you."

*gulp*

her assistant and i went in to her office and sat down and i gave her the copy of the Order of Proceedings. then i opened my file to my list of questions, my layout of the courtroom and the floor where we are having the ceremony and reception, and the emails i have on which courts will continue to run even though both Chief Justices and the Associate Chiefs will be at the event.

she was very helpful and answered my questions, gave verbal permission for the things i need, and said that i could tell anyone else that she agrees to all my requests.

when i was leaving, she came to the door and said

"rou, this is stellar work, you've done an amazing job."

FML. At least the 3D movie I have picked out tonight should go perfect with my delirium. Rum might go well with my halfway broken ankle.

Now, thanks to a thread, I'm sitting here listening to Joe's Garage by Frank Zappa and thinking of the huge crush I used to have on his son Dweezil.

That Chipotle commercial is haunting.

^ I'm an old pro at that. I hit it so hard on the metal stairs of one of those roaring rapids rides at 6 Flags that I had to get x rays and bruised the bone. I've sprained the same ankle 3 times since. I would make a my left foot joke, but it's the right one.
