i think i will have to get nice bottles of wine for Justice M AND Justice T to thank them for everything they are doing for me for Monday.

they are both on my side in everything and have now issued instructions to all staff involved in this that all matters must be cleared through me.

i was forwarded a string of emails this morning regarding scheduling where i was NOT involved and i am now looking like an idiot for having sent out incorrect information to our HQ!

off to fix the documents and try to restore my reputation.

When did it become a sin to buy craft supplies? I keep reading these "simple crafts or cheap hacks with stuff lying around the house."

You have 25 cinder blocks, boxes of broken pottery and rusted bottle caps, a bunch of old tires, wads of chewing gum and a few extra brand new ladders that you don't need just lying around? Really??? Just admit you went out and bought some junk.

Some people's crafts . . . . you have too much time on your hands and not enough shame to hide it. That's fine. We all get bored sometimes and do weird stuff, but some ish should be kept to yourself.

I have had a day. I really wish I could vent about it, but I can not.

I just realized I am ALMOST going to miss our former bad employee when it comes to meetings and class. Really, I am going to miss my boss yelling, "Will you quit flapping your jaws for one minute and listen!?!?!" Or "Will put put down that cursed phone! You're the worst one we've got! You need to pay attention. You'd break an anvil with feather!" I will also miss the look of surprise from her

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1379549114.097384.jpg

and the snickering echo's from us. Hey, he's trying to help.

so the person who was trying to muscle in on my event yesterday apparently wasn't happy with the response of Justice M and thought that i was making it up when i said that she said NO to his making a speech on Monday.

this supposedly grown-man had his staff calling my boss and his boss at their emergency meeting (about something else) yesterday afternoon, then went over their heads when he still wasn't happy.

which meant that someone from the Minister's office had to call Justice M at her conference in Niagara Falls to confirm that - yes - she would NOT allow him to speak.

then i got caught today in a tug-of-war with the trial coordinator who has her knickers in a knot because she had to let us use rooms x, y and z. she decided to schedule a 3-week jury trial - starting TODAY - in the room next to the ceremonial courtroom. i'm only going to have close to 200 people moving around in the corridor outside, along with the press and everyone working the event.

if the judge complains about the noise, i am going to very, VERY politely point out that the TC *knew* ages ago about the event.

That's all you can do, Rou. That and let the others sink themselves. It sounds like the ones trying to work their way in after you did the majority of the work went down like the Titanic I know it's stressful planning an event like that. My bosses administrative assistant puts together a large dinner for all first responders, ems, fire, and rescue members every winter. 911 (the 1st, first responder) is invited for honorable mention (we're the red headed step children of emergency services). It's a huge shindig with guest speakers. If she drank I think she would be ready for vodka. It's her baby and everyone respects that.

Sorry you're having a day Zig.

I'm in a bit of a mood myself. I am ready to throw something at one of our systems. I can remember the day when you only sent state wide messages if the call was a big deal. You would get a phone call and be chewed if you were not cautions with use. Now several different cities and counties send a state wide message for every f**king call they get. Amber Alerts/Silver Alerts/Wanted Person use Extreme Caution... Great! Different story, but I don't need to know about every minor call you get when you are 8 hours away from me. Especially not when 80% of them are resolved and canceled in 2 hours, and each message comes in duplicates of 4 or 5. Now they call and chew you out if 2 people run the same drivers history. That's an honest mistake that happens in offices where a 3+ people work. Sometimes you don't hear that your partner okayed it too, and is running it.

I'm sorry people seem to be having an off day.
I found myself singing and dancing in the kitchen area at work while I waited for my coffee to brew. I'll take that as a sign that it's been a good morning so far

And....now that I'm doing something easy, the two chatterboxes decide to be quiet.

Maybe I'll play the fox video.

I am glad you are having a good one. That is normally what I am like on my Thursday/Friday. I'm playing jokes on people, swinging from the lights, and having a good time. This morning I woke up with a headache from a very mentally exhausting call that I ended up dealing with for the last 3 hours of my shift yesterday. I'm a little spent from it. Hopefully I will perk up soon.

It's never a good sign when the classic 1967 song

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1379601471.287208.jpg

pops into your mind while reading a news article.

More of vent..I asked for a couple days off for the end of the month and usually it's never a problem but now because of what's going on with work, my boss asked if I could hold it off until later. I didn't think it would be an issue, things have slowed down a lot and I have 2 coworkers that are taking off almost a week a week later. If I really can't go, this is going to mess up plans not only for me but my friend I was driving with. This sucks. I really really needed this getaway.

I am still very fond of Pop Culture drug references though.

(Even if they are mainly pure and absolutely pointless speculations. They end up being funny)

I've taken care of myself for the past 22 years and I can continue doing it now. Screw you and your selfish, self-centered, egotistical, needy self. Wow! that felt good. I'm moving forward with a positive attitude and I'm going to dance my way thru the rest of my life. Everyone with problems...I'm there, but I have to come 1st. I have to love me in order to love you.

Haha. You have to love the deer in headlights look, even if you are the one doing it.

I'm sorry, Lotsa but you have the right attitude.

Did anyone read this BBC story last year? I still find it intriguing that people are still debating the meaning behind Carrolls 1865 book and his personal character, so many years later. I know the discussion was hit rather hard in the 1960's and 70's. No one will ever know for sure about Alice in Wonderland, Through The Looking Glass or if Carol had alternative motives with children. I'm just going to keep snickering.

DANG!! I understand why these parents are frustrated. I am livid (and physically ill) over the ACLU's work to allow sex offenders on Facebook and Twitter, but you can't do this. It can honestly hurt more than it helps.
