Oh it's so good. I've only had netflix for a couple of days and I'm already on Episode 7. Plus, with my dad being in Federal, it's even more interesting
the whole no cable thing has me intrigued, i did cut my bill - but I am now considering cutting even more due to your ability to cope LOL. I'm holding off a tiny bit out of fear, I think. I would like to cut to basic cable and just ON Demand - cut my dvr and any extra channels. But, who knows what they tell me is "possible"
I enjoy regular tv with commercials, but all you really need is hulu plus or netflix. I like regular tv so I can watch things in real time and local news. However, I am getting by with just netflix and I watch and listen to news via the web and the radio. I can cope with watching Nashville and Scandal the day after, although it would be nice to watch the day of.

Think about what shows you watch - Figure out which service has your “Must have” shows. News and live sporting events can be an issue

Get a box - Roku, Playstation, etc (it may require an HDMI)

Get free subscriptions - hulu, pandora, crackle

Paid Subscriptions - Netflix, hulu plus, redbox streaming

Use this website to find where shows can be found online - Spreety.com

Use this device to add the shows you find online to your tv - Plex or Playon (this one has a fee)

Get an antenna for local TV

Find out what the heck I'm supposed to with Windows Media Player

I watch primarily CBS, I have a Roku, but I'm not sure about Plex bc my laptop isn't that great, so streaming from that to the roku box (is that what i'd have to do??) seems problematic to me. Although in a couple of months i'd have saved enough to buy a new laptop if I cut the cable.

See, now you are thinking of things the right way, LOL

I'm not 100% sure how PLEX works, but you can skip Plex and watch shows online

since you already have a roku box, How about doing a little research and then spending week cable free and see how you do. I just cut, no research, no trial. I just saw my bill and say enough, LOL!

and here's my problem. I'm spoiled. Had I done it in the summer, no worries, all I was watching was Netflix ... but now the other shows have started I want to watch them all with ease and convenience. LOL

I will be making some cuts, I dont' think I'll be able to cut the entire cord... just make it a much smaller cord

Cable is such a rip off. I watch only 5 channels. My kids watch maybe 3 others.

on my post on the last page about the Portland massage therapist and what he says people really look like, this is my favourite quote:

I’ll tell you what people look like, really: they look like flames. Or like the stars, on a clear night in the wilderness.

isn't that just wonderful????

Having a very sophisticated and elegant dinner.

^ Is it your B-day? If so, HAPPY! HAPPY! If not, cake is pretty happy anyway

I am slightly in love with the Guess boots I just got, for 60% off.

They will go good with the outfit I am wearing tomorrow. Black leggings, and a zip up longer sweater that is fitted at the waist and flares out at the bottom. It is black, and different shades of gray with silver, gold, and bronze studs near the shoulders.

Now if I can just figure out what shirt I am wearing under the thinner zip up sweater. We will be outside most of the night and it will be in the low 40's, so I'll be comfortable.

Scrills, I love those pants!
