Thank you, ladies. She is gone. She had several problems. Her heart, liver and kidneys were enlarged, her blood work showed signs of cancer, and... Just a bunch of stuff at once. Putting her down was the beat option. It didn't take long.

Thank you again. I need some prayers that I won't fall out trying dig this grave. Blah. I've been at it for an hour. I have a way more dirt than hole at this point. The soil here is rough. I'm ready for a drink.

Okay, that's done. I had some help during the last few minutes. I had to call in reinforcements. Rednecks. They'll help every time. My mom needs new tools. Her pickaxe was broken, the mattocks was about to break, the post hole diggers did break, and the hoe is 2000 years old. I was left with one short handle shovel. I think she's had most of those tools since the 60's or before. Now I need to brush my hair. I walked into a bunch of inch worms hanging from their silks. Awww. I love inch worms. I tried to put them all back, but I wouldn't be surprised if I still had company in there.

So glad that's over. I broke down at the vet's and have been too busy to be sad.

Thank you, B. I really appreciate the hugs.

Inchworm, inchworm. Measuring the merry gold. You and your arithmetic, you'll probably go far. Inchworm, inchworm. Measuring the merry gold. Seems to me you'd stop and see how beautiful they are.

Thank you, Juana. That is exactly what I told my mom. She used to sleep on my dads chest or his side, and she had been very different since he passed. I think she needed him too.

I have really been enjoying all of animals around my house. They are so active right now, getting prepared for winter. Tons of squirrels, bunnies (always bunnies) crows (quite possibly one of the smartest birds on the planet), huge turkeys roosting in the trees, deer and the owls are out in full force at night. I could sit outside and watch them all day.

I remember reading this last year and getting a good laugh. Very true. Our crows are constantly calculating exactly how we drive the road and placing nuts in our path so we will crack them, for them. They absolutely have languages and dialects. So smart, but you can manage to trick them with a rubber snake in your garden. You have to move it around, when they are not looking. If they catch you or if you leave it in one place, you are so busted. I know they are rough on crops but I have never understood the fear of them. If you are good to them, they will remember.

*but i do have to make sure i leave nothing that sparkles or shines on my porch. they will make off with it in a second, and decorate their nest with it. cute

Thank you, Starmie. I was just thinking about calling my mom. This will be a strange morning for her. I'm going to miss conversations with my little weirdo, and I know she will. Being a tortoiseshell, she was a talker and a half, especially in the mornings.

***********************

I was just going through my bird pictures and thinking of the different types that have no differences in color variations between males and females. I always found it a little crappy that males get the flashy colors, but it's necessary. They have to show off to attract a mate and the females need to blend in and protect the nest. Anywho, back to the others... American Crows, Wrens, the Tufted Titmouse (I love this bird)

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1382450680.357341.jpg

, several owl species, etc. I know females are usually larger in the owl world and you can spot the male birds because they show out more. Also, the male crows are more likely to steal the bling to attract a woman. He with the prettiest mating area and dance, wins. Lol. Enough with the rambling. I came across this pic and I still have no idea what this bird is. I have only seen it once, and found it in none of my NC bird books. It's almost like a cedar waxwing, but it's not. I just call it the lone ranger because of it's cute little mask

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1382450715.147886.jpg

Does anyone have an idea? Sorry for the small pic.

Thank you, Scrills.

I really wish people would leave me alone for one day. I had to drive mom yesterday. I didn't mind, but now she wants me to drive her around this afternoon. I was not planning on going anywhere. I'm trying to find my missing Halloween decorations. I want my motion activated cat that sings "I always feel like, somebody's watching me". It's pretty funny.

ETA: what did crap i do with this stuff? i have not used it in 3 years but it should be in the storage room.

Oh, my motion activated door cover and laughing tombstone worked it's magic on friday. I heard my friend walk past the tombstone and scream, and then he opened my front door and screamed again. Score!

Should I feel bad? I told my coworker I was going to buy something from her direct sales company and I found it elsewhere for half the cost. $18 online, $47 from her.

Other things I want are $7.5 online $44 from her

An item for myself $7 online, $40 from her

What would you do?

Nooooo! That's an outrageous markup.

I know how you feel. I promised a friend I would donate money to a good cause that he promotes but I wish I hadn't promised to donate so much!

You know the old saying that our eyes are bigger than our stomachs, when we order too much to eat, (never happens to me - but that's another thread) well, our mouths are bigger than our wallets.

$7. That's quite a price hike on her end. It's worse than jewelry store hikes and they typically triple their cost.

I'm reading a book called Loving What Is (Byron Katie) and really enjoying it. Overly simplistic in parts (for me) - but very helpful!!
