when I have PMS, I hit "overwhelmed" very very easily. i.e. having to take the dog for an extra walk makes me feel all rushed and overwhelmed. I know this about myself.
However, for a couple of days every month, it gets the best of me. Before 730 this morning I had worked myself into a tizzy over something that I was completely finished with before 10am. Insane.

Also, on an unrelated note, I knew my coworker (her cube and my cube open to face one another) was going to be out today, so I brought myself some popcorn - simply because I would not have to share! LOL

And lastly, I'm so glad my parents have moved nearby. Finlay gets a play date today with their two dogs "just because" - and he always comes back so happy from spending the day with people (instead of alone at mine) - and he sleeps like a rock.

Sorry, Rou. I hate sinus cruds. Hope you feel better soon.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Oh dear. The perfume/cologne thread sent me on a mission. Like many others, based on comments, these Enjoli commercials have stayed in the back my mind since early childhood. *You really don't want to hear the lyrics I made up for this in my childhood. Evil laugh.

Haha! I don't know why people are even bothering with feminist/anti feminist arguments over this. "I didn't realize how feminist and sexist this commercial was". Probably because you were 4. It's a perfume add from the late 70's early 80's. do you really care?

Part of the reason why I remember it so well is because it was my mom perfume. It smelled so great on her, and like tragedy on me.

I've decided to spend time with myself (and Fin, of course) this evening, and not share my space with a friend who has invited herself over. I'm going to compromise and tell her she can meet us for our walk or make other plans.
My "need to introvert-ize" is high today

Not to seem morbid (even though I slightly am) I took one of my garden statues to my moms yesterday and put it by Little Bit's grave. I think it looks pretty, and she was quite the story teller. Mom plans to plant some vines in the area, at some point.

The oldest of my little cousins also made a cross for "Miss B" and asked me to put it on her grave. Sweet. She loves animals. ETA: But do not let her fool you. At 10 she will "go hunting and help bag a buck (never a doe or fawn), but only if it's older or injured, and only by a clean head shot so it doesn't know what hit it". Haha. She is a mountain girl.

I keep getting mad every time I drive by my childhood home. We have told them where my dog, my brothers dog, and our cats are buried and they keep piling isht on top of their graves.

I can't get enough of these kids. They just left. We had a rather interesting conversation about The Lost Colony, Crayons, Badgers and hunting.

Oh, Sadie-Kate.

My glove? My favorite irreplaceable wool and polar fleece glove?

We will be sleeping apart this evening. I hope it was worth it for you. You've really let the team down tonight.

We have rain heading toward us now, and it wasn't supposed to. 28 tonight. Isht.

I saw the most depressing thing on FB today. I checked some of my notifications and saw my first boyfriends (kindergarten - 4th grade) mom had done an update about him. He was in his mid to late 20's when first diagnosed with cancer in his pelvis. It wasn't too long after his daughter was born. She was maybe 4. He beat it, but it has came back in several different locations since. He has fought all of that, too. Tooth and nail. He just went in to have his colostomy reversed (he's had it for several years), and they found more cancer. It's back in his pelvis. I know he has to be beyond exhausted.

I can't help flashing back to us in elementary school. I used to tell him my tinkerbell perfume was a sleeping potion. I would put it under his nose, he would pretend to pass out, and I would kiss him on the cheek. He would scream all the ew, no, gross, cooties stuff and then say, "do it again". Lol. I always think about him falling off the merry go round every single time we went to this tiny, crap, theme park in my area. My dad was always picking him up and saying, "Son, what the hell is wrong with you? I don't know why my baby likes you. you can't even hold on to a fake horse". Bahah. So true, but I cried for 2 weeks when broke up. We remained good friends and went to 8th grade prom together. We wouldn't have had it any other way. The last time I saw him he had a portable chemo device and was in so much pain. It was hard. When you have known someone that long, they mean the world to you.

I have not even looked outside yet. When I went to bed we had nothing. That was not long ago. Lol. I could have slept a little longer, but this is what always happens just before my first night shift back.
