I wish work would slow down today, it's nonstop. And, it's a Monday, so this is par for the course - but DAMN, a lull in the madness would really be appreciated

I slept through my alarm this morning, 45 minutes late to work.
At lunch I bought 6 pack of chocolate cupcakes to share at work, I probably shouldn't eat all fo them myself huh?
It's drizzly and cold.

It's definitely Monday.

^ Unless it's a monday/friday. Then it's just tired and confusing, with a finish line in sight.

I hate the way I feel after my 3rd night. Yes, it has something to do with the fact I have almost put in a typical 5 day work week in 3 days (and will have put in a 6 day work week in 4 when done), but bleepity bleep it! I hurt. I can't even stand to lay in the bed past 2. Being a chair jockey is not fun.

Snicker, snicker, snort. I am evil. I know my co worker probably just got home from the job he worked today and laid down for a nap. I started sending him mass texts. I may be a little late tonight. Oh, I meant to say... I will be sitting at the supervisors station tonight. PS, lol. I called my office supervisor and boss before I went to bed this morning, let the know my feelings on incompetent (he is honestly dangerous and should not be in our office, and provided mass examples) and told them about the other leaving. I also told my boss that I planned to send lost in translation home at 1 and make as much noise as I possibly could to keep the other awake all night. His response, "Get em' killer". Hehe. ETA: He used to be a full timer, I worked with him for years, he is back in school and a father of 4 with a wife who does not work, who depends on part time jobs. I would never recommend he be canned, but I can give him a little hell.* He also promised me the newbie would not be back after this weekend. ETA: He has another part time job, and hardly comes into our office anyway. He doesn't need to at all. He will end up killing someone.

Yawn. I think my pound cake was drugged.

Maybe sitting next to the wee one will be all the punishment my other co worker needs. He is experiencing what I experienced the last 3 nights. Nicely try to explain something to him, or give some constructive advice, and he lashes out. I'm minding my own business and I hear... "I am not trying to jump on you buddy, but you really have to get better about putting down your cell phone when you are doing a job task, listening to the officers and writing down what they say. You can't depend on the play back button. You have said 10-4 to them the last 3 times they have very clearly request a tag be ran, and you have not heard or written down anything they said." He was mild mannered, and it was all true. All of a sudden I hear, "QUIT YELLING AT ME!!" lol. I've already told him not to bother. I am the 7th person to tell my office supervisor that he is a problem and dangerous. She knows he should not be in here. He applied full time, was completely lost, and would not speak in the interview. She has ignored everyone else just to please the one co worker who has never worked with him other than we she trained him, sat beside him, and told him every move to make. She wanted him to be given a chance to improve. If it's not happened in 4.5 months, it's not going to. That is why I also called my boss. It's time for someone to listen and take him off the list.

My friend is about to have a breakdown (whats new?). Saturday was his last day on his job, and he started panicking on Thursday. He has been there 17 years. I thought it was 15 but it's 17. The last straw was when the new owners said they were taking 13% of the wait staffs tips to cover credit card charges and they would not get their tip outs on CC's until their pay check. That does suck. I've said it before, he makes $2 and blah blah cents and hour. The tips are what they live on. On Thursday he was already feeling "unemployed" and didn't like it. He didn't know what to do. His general tips have been much better since the new people took over. They fired a bunch and run a few to death, but it equals more money. I've had to avoid him the past few nights because (I'm tired) no matter what you suggest, he thinks the opposite, until you agree with that, and he thinks something else. Really, I think he needs to bite it and continue to work there. They all told him he could come back at any time, and he only works 32 hours a week. I mean... Suck it up. He won't be that lucky on a new job. *Lucky as in he is the senior employee, made his own schedule, and they agreed to it so he can keep medical assistance and get his migraine pills covered. That probably won't fly as a new person somewhere else* He tried to give me some 32 hours in 3 days is so hard on me sob story, but I had to say hush. You have 4 days to recover from it. I do 72 in one week, with only one off in between. Love you but I can't sympathize with your hardship. I hope he just takes some time, manages to actually not stress 24-7 during that time, relaxes, and goes back.

I'm sitting on my couch deciding whether to go to work or not. I felt pretty crappy yesterday but Mondays are so busy (and in the only one who does my job) that I knew I needed to be there. I came home and slept.
I woke up feeling so much better. Now I've been up half an hour the coughing and blowing and ear aching is back.

I feel like an escaped mental patient. I am free! Keeping my partner awake last night didn't work. He was way past out of it by 3 am. Talking about pineapples out of it, and the other decided against going home at 1 (if it was not busy) when I brought it up and then had another pissy pants fit when corrected about the way he handled a call by the other dispatcher, jumped up and left, but not before saying, "I'll give you two your alone time". Okay then. Gah!! This was the most impossible weekend.

I'm not quite sure ones (unknown) parting words could top the others awaking words on the radio. Instead of using codes or proper terms he was saying (halfway slurring), "she wants to die". WTFFHFSF is going on? Snap to!! Talk right.

Okay, I am done. Really done. I already informed my shift supervisor her pet would not be back and it will be quite some time before I consider working with the other again. He needs a break. I can tell he's working his way back toward his moments of rage, which he has been prone to since his 3 year old daughter was killed (it's hard to blame him, considering what happened). Thats why he left the office. He was screaming at callers, which does not fly. He needs time to gather himself when that hits.

One last eta: with all, and i mean all, that said, no one died. Lol. drama, drama, still do your job, drama. it was a relatively good stretch, call wise, with the one exception that we didn't take.
