^ I'm suspicious of people who do not like dogs until I find out they were attacked, and then I'm good. I still second the majority of that, though.

I need to get tired. I am wide awake this morning, and my phone is buzzing with emails/facebook notifications every 2 seconds. I don't want to leave the conversation. It's plams for get togethers with former classmates around the holidays, but I do wish they would slow down. I deleted 25 notifications last night, and it's starting again.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Apparently 9:30-12:30 was all my body would allow to sleep today. Aunt Flo, back pain, insane dreams and can't get comfortable.

I have been reading in hopes of getting tired again and takin a nap but it's getting too late for that. Statics, too. Those sometimes make you tired They now have population in my county listed over 40,000 people. They count part time residents in there, which I think should be listed differently. They are here for 3 or 4 months out of the year. That hardly makes the residents, imo. Some idiot listed the median household income at $50,000. What are you smoking? 32-37,000 is more like it, and in many cases men make 6,000 more than women. My job has equal pay, though. It just depends on the starting salary. Mine, 10 years ago, was almost 22. People below poverty level is now at 21.4%. 18% of that is households with children and 14.8% of those 65+ live below the poverty line. 30% of children under 18 are food insecure. 14.3% on food stamps, with many more that could qualify (but will not because you don't take charity/be or feel indebted for anything because it's always end badly) and 1 in 6 seek emergency food assistance.

I know you all need to know that

I've got to get some donations together once again for our food bank. It's a good place, *I like that they charge a dollar and something, for a pretty substantial meal. Many would rather go hungry than eat there if they didn't* but I hate the lawyers who eat cheaply in their restaurant and do not donate.

I haven't been able to wear contact lenses for a few years. Part of my RA causes dry eyes and swelling eyelids. Thankfully over the past year my eyelids have been pretty good. Today I went for my yearly eye exam and the doctor told me that my insurance covers contact lens exams too.

Blah blah I explain to her about my RA. She tells me they have better contacts for "problem" eyes and a few minutes later, I'm wearing contacts again! Now, I'm not sure if they'll actually work for me long term, but I'm very very pleased. I'm Doing a week trial then making a decision
The thought of being able to see during yoga class!

Eta: I just looked at myself in the mirror and suddenly appreciate my glasses for masking the dark circles under my eyes! Lord, I obviously need better concealer lol

Little Mother of all the Roaches, President-for-Life of the MAC Harlots!
The Facebook Curse strikes again! Every time I see one of my friends post a spew or two about how how much s/he loves their boyfriend or girlfriend, it's over in 2 days. We're in our late 30's and that's a bit much. Tell them, as opposed to writing it all over your notebook and showing all.

Anniversary posts between married friends are cute, but the other can be a kiss of death. Like tattoo's of your SO's name.

Much better! I left work a little early last night so I could come home and actually get some sleep. I had to take Pamprin and idk what it is about that stuff, but it always makes me so tired. I'm sure the 3 hours of sleep I got the night before help intensify that. It was fall out on the desk, or in bed. I picked bed.

Pardon while I ramble:

This morning I have been listening to music and enjoying reading others lyrical interpretations. I think some are completely void of metaphorical understanding or inept at exploring the darker side of emotions/relationships. But that's just my opinion. I became curious when listening to She Wants Revenge. Though released in the mid 2000's it follows the formula of Dark Wave and Goth music which came out in the 80's. Both a romantic movement, which focused more on heart break, that was often misunderstood or ran wild with in a too literal context. Tear You Apart was my song of choice this morning. Love the music. I decided to look at others interpretations and see how they compare to mine. I always took it as a boy who likes a girl (because it mentions a school setting) but is trying to tell himself it's just a crush like the others, it will go away, but it is in fact something deeper. Something that will lead to the next somewhat forbidden level (sex). He tells a friend about the crush, the girl finds out, she decides she likes him too, and it goes from there. The lyric, "As I whisper in your ear, I wanna f**king tear you apart" always made me think of your first love, first intense passion, and how that relationship typically plays out to a devastating end that leaves you torn and broken.

Others saw it as a guy who has a crush on a girl that is dating one of his friends, he pursues it, and wants to tear apart that relationship. Some saw it as a guy who has more of SMBD side to his personality and wants to get kinky, and the rare few saw it as a psychopath rape song... Of course.

** I always saw it as a little too inexperienced and awkward for SM between school students, based on lyrics about him freezing up/ shaking/ being frightened, knees getting weak, etc. but I can see where they are coming from.

One more ETA concerning a 90's song from a different genre that was brought up in discussions about the above song. One person mentioned the misinterpretation of Nirvana's Rape Me being about Kurt asking to be raped. Wtf? I know the lyrics say, "Rape me. Rape me, my friend. Rape me. Rape me again. I'm not the only one (X4). Hate me. Do it and do it again. Waste me. Rape me, my friend... but come on. Other though it was condoning rape, some thought it was about drugs, some thought it was about the music industry and media. It's rather simple (and he explained it throughly). It was an Anti Rape Song. Do it, rape me, waste me, but you will not kill me. I am not alone. One day, I'll rape you, and you won't even know it.

Yep... It's going to be a Cure day. No one explores beautiful and dysfunction love and heartache/break better.

I leave you with one of my favorite Cure songs, complete with lyrics. I can't pick one, but I have always said that is someone literally forced me to pick at gun point, "From The Edge of The Deep Green Sea" would fall out of my mouth, and I would immediately feel guilty for not saying several others. (Friday, I'm In Love would not be one of those).

http://youtu.be/3BCTvYZIXEM

every time we do this
i fall for her
wave after wave after wave
it's all for her
i know this can't be wrong i say
(and i'll lie to keep her happy)
as long as i know that you know
that today i belong
right here with you
right here with you...

and so we watch the sun come up
from the edge of the deep green sea
and she listens like her head's on fire
like she wants to believe in me
so i try
put your hands in the sky
surrender
remember
we'll be here forever
and we'll never say goodbye...

i've never been so
colourfully-see-through-head before
(i've never been)
i've never been so
wonderfully-me-you-want-some-more
and all i want is to keep it like this
you and me alone
a secret kiss
and don't go home
don't go away
don't let this end
please stay
not just for today

never never never never never never never never never let me go she says
hold me like this for a hundred thousand million days
but suddenly she slows
and looks down at my breaking face
why do you cry? what did i say?
but it's just rain i smile
brushing my tears away...

i wish i could just stop
i know another moment will break my heart
too many tears
too many times
too many years i've cried over you, over you
over you

how much more can we use it up?
drink it dry?
take this drug?
looking for something forever gone
but something
we will always want?

why why why are you letting me go? she says
i feel you pulling back
i feel you changing shape...
and just as i'm breaking free
she hangs herself in front of me
slips her dress like a flag to the floor
and hands in the sky
surrenders it all...

i wish i could just stop
i know another moment will break my heart
too many tears
too many times
too many years i've cried for you
it's always the same
wake up in the rain
head in pain
hung in shame
a different name
same old game
love in vain
and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles away from home again...

Now I am off to get ready and go out

I knew it!

Less than ten minutes after the handyman leaves, everyone is sound asleep and silent. But while he's here, it's all: Will he pet me? Where's his hat? Is there any garbage I can steal?

Goofballs.

Okay so I know better.but it still pisses me off when my friend tells me she's picking me up at 6 and I had out at 6, text her that I'm going out front, and she texts telling me to wait because she's still at the store. Drives me insane. 600 means 600 (barring accidents and emergencies, of course). And I know that I know better

Little Mother of all the Roaches, President-for-Life of the MAC Harlots!
I wanted to get all my running around done today so I could focus on cleaning and doing stuff around the house tomorrow. Not going to happen. I had to return the wrong jar of As I Am that I bought at Sally's, and ran to a nearby store to get a new pair of tennis shoes. Low and behold, they are having massive sale tomorrow morning and I can get an additional 40% off the sale price. I put those puppies and a Fossil purse that was $280, marked down to $100 on hold. I'll get 40% off it, too. Woot! But this means I have to get up early.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I really need to look for a new mattress pad tomorrow. I think home decor items are 70% off. I'm waiting on mine to dry so I can go to bed and praying it's still in one piece when I pull it out of the dryer. Worn out does not begin to describe it.

The things I do for shopping. Yawn!! It canMt be helped. Sale ends at 10.

Have to show off a bit.

New Fossil bag (and small matching wallet). Marked down with an additional 45% off

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1384023231.198112.jpg

New Easy Spirit Active walking shoes, which I desperately needed because all of my tennis shoes are made from the breathable material and not the best for fall/winter. Marked down with an additional 45% off

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1384023377.980889.jpg

And a Cynthia Rowley Owl sweater which was 75% off
