I was reading an article about conflict you may experience if you love but also hate Terrence Howard, and Woody Allen came up. The author linked to this:

"The Heart Wants What It Wants" - TIME

and I became quite disgusted. So if your siblings are adopted, you're just a "collection" not really blood-related.....smdh.

i think we are looking at a repeat of December 8, 2006, though that snowfall was 3 feet in 5 or 6 hours.

the snow squall pattern that we have had for at least the past 3 hours looks EXACTLY like the one we had that night and i think we are close to 2 feet now since yesterday morning.

i will try to get pics - this is crazy.

Poor not-so-little Mia wiped out on a patch of ice this morning. She got right up, but she looked at me like, "Mom, what happened?"

Aw, she was okay. She seemed more surprised than anything else. Besides, she has that perfect pit bull build: "firm and full, packed like a good cigar."

I told my BFF, and she told me about how one of her dogs tried to show the others how to jump on a patch of ice and shatter it.

Oh wow! Dogs are awesome.

My lewie loved to splash in puddles. We'd go back and forth and he'd just splash splash splash. Of course I let him, he loved it so much.

Lewie? Is that his name or a breed abbreviation? I like it, regardless.

Something unexpectedly nice just happened. I saw a beautifully sculpted horse head on Etsy, and complimented the maker although s/he doesn't ship overseas. S/he wrote me back saying I made her day. And that not only would she ship overseas, but that she'd split the price with me for being so nice!

And with that, my own day is made. Golly

That's awesome!

My dog named Lewie. I had him nearly 17 years. He went to The Bridge just over 3 years ago.

it took 3 of us almost 2 hours to clear the driveway of the snow - there was over 2 feet of it.

So sorry you are getting hammered, Rou. I was trying to get a heads up on our weather report this morning and was relieved to see most forecasters think we will get hit with the heavy rain during the afternoon hours on tuesday, when it is too warm to snow. Rain coming up from the gulf with cold coming from the west or north can mean huge trouble for us. So far, it just looks like we will have sleet and ice on and off.

Snicker, snicker. A raccoon has people trapped in their car at a Christmas Tree Lot in town. It's apparently hungry and not remotely scared of people. I hate that some automatically assume that means it's sick or needs to be killed. If people feed them, they become bolder and less afraid of humans.

Maybe next year they will think twice about setting up in between 2 fast food joints. The raccoon is walking up to cars and putting in it's order. What have you got? Anything good?

My co worker is being a complete, scatter brained idiot tonight. She does this every sunday night we work. She decides to balance her churches checking accounts and is so enthralled in that, she pays attention to nothing else. She finally gets finished and pays no attention to the fact that I have 2 different fires going on, which means 6 different fire departments yelling on the same radio channel, and several 911's ringing (which were completely different calls for law enforcement). She's putting on her coat and getting ready to go mail the churches bills. I had to say, take off your coat and stay awhile. While you are at it, why don't help out with one of these house fires. "Oh". She's a f**king genius. So is the person who just called and could not seem to understand that her dad needing his work clothes from his ex girlfriends house is not an urgent emergency. Not compared to the 3 domestics officers are out on. You'll have to wait until one gets clear to call you back. Quit telling me how urgent this is. Work clothes and a tooth brush vs getting the crap beat out of you... Not urgent at all. Inconvenient.

^ Even worse... I had to explain to her why a chimney fire is paged as a structure fire. You see, fireplaces and chimneys are partially inside of these (often wooden framed) structures called houses. Wtf? She's been here 6 years longer than me and should know that is how we always page a chimney fire. It's how she pages one. And yes, she is also a fire department member, but one who will not fight fire but cook for those who are or refill air bottles, etc.

She's not normally this bad, but she has her moments where it's all out the window. Tonight is absolutely one of those moments.

I can tell the weather is changing, yet again. We always get horrible skip over the radio from different states. People talking about checking the dome. I have no idea where they are, but they can be very annoying. It sounds like campus security maybe, so no surprise there.

And our hot weather's just beginning, albeit in fits and starts atm. I shall look forward to pictures of your snowfalls and be jealous.
