Yuck! I am a drowned rat. The pouring rain followed me from my house to the office. At least my car is getting a good pressure washing.

Test. Test. Test. Serious app issues tonight. Not sure if it's just my phone or what but my posts look scrambled. My service is coo-coo, though.

Will I get burned at the stake if I say it will be 84 degrees for the high tomorrow? The invitation from last year to come on down still stands.

^ Sounds good. We're holding at 63 here tonight. It's really nice outside, but absolutely drenched.

Oh, peoplez. I just had someone ask me why their friends wreck was not covered by the news today. They sincerely thought it should have been. The last time I looked at stats around 18,000 wrecks happen every day in the US. They don't cover wrecks unless it's a very slow news day, they happen to drive by it, or someone famous is involved. Nothing else would ever be talked about if local news channels informed you of every car wreck.

I don't think I would want my friend's car wreck on the news. Is the desire for fame that great, however fleeting?

A customer was very mean to mean. I've been doing design work for free. Today she said just refund her. I did. And then she contacted me to say that wishes I would reconsider making the item for her. Argh!!!!!

I feel bad, but I am burning the candle at all 14 ends. I can't if she was nice, I would be more willing. But this is too much

That is what I was thinking. How strange! It would not enter my mind to call someone and ask why my friends wreck was not news worthy. You see the occasional wreck on our local news, but as I said not often. It would more than likely be a school or activity bus, jacked knifed truck that blocked traffic for hours or something they just happened by. Very rare and they give you information in the 5pm traffic report other than, wreck on blah blah rd. Traffic backed up or one lane blocked.
When do you ever see them give a full run down on peoples names, ages, all the info, etc unless it's someone famous?

I kind of wouldn't mind having that strange caller back right now though, as opposed to the last call I just took.

Everyone has lost their mind this week.

It must be the front, bringing in crazy. Lol. You expect an increase in calls, or an increase in specific types of calls around this time. It's normal for the Holidays, but it is much worse this year. My co workers and I were just discussing it. We are getting armed robbery BOLO's from other counties every hour. There have been several smash and grabs here, and obviously done by people who spent some time casing the business. In and out in 3 minutes. B&E's out the ... Assaults, suicides, lots of people hallucinating and I am helping another agency right now with a case involving pure drunken meanness. Cruel. Someone may be badly hurt or worse and the person will not talk.

We're at 37 (feels like 29) this morning. Almost 40 degrees colder than this time yesterday. It will go up a bit then drop back and into low 30s today.

My dad is coming over today to turn in my heat (that smell when you first turn it on freaks me out (long story) so he offered and I gladly accepted. Then he's taking Fin to his house for a playdate with his dogs/get spoiled by nana and grandad all day. Fin is so exhausted after spending the day with them, he absolutely loves going to their house

^ I think so. I had fun teasing mine about football when they were here for thanksgiving. Whatever team they were pulling for, I yelled the other team was going to win, and it happened. They were not happy with me, or my football voodoo.

I might have to turn my AC on for a minute. It is 75 in my house, and I have had the windows open and fans blowing since this afternoon.

Yes, and because if they have a boy first, they try again, in order to mitigate their disappointment.

Crazy long day.

My boss showed up, (owner if the company, see him every few months), crazy day, poured over a ton of paper work, lots of gossip about his other locations. I should have left at 5, was still there at 6, turned to him and asked if he wanted a glass of wine. Opened a bottle I keep in my desk and just chilled for a bit.

As much as I despise my job some days, days like this remind me how great it can be and I totally work for the greatest guy
