Honestly, I'm sick of hearing this song.

Blah. I don't want to eat, or move, but I need to. I ended up getting home late. I decided to walk around a few stores while the fire dept cleaned up a mess on my way home. Poor 85 year old woman got turned around in really heavy fog, was driving the wrong way on the highway, and then got stuck in the muddy grass when she realized her mistake and pulled off the road. It was going to take a wrecker to pull her out. I am sure that scared her half to death.

I effing hate my job. We have the biggest ice storm in recent years and all they care about is keeping the damn office open, they care nothing for their employees safety. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and fell in the parking lot due to them not monitoring the conditions outside and taking appropriate measures. I also effing hate Walgreens, when I go there whomever I have to deal with should be knowledgable and not tell me that something is the prenatal vitamin my Dr called in if it's not. So for 3 weeks at least I've been taking just an iron supplement and no prenatal vitamins. They can't ever seem to get anything right, my prescriptions are never ready even though I get voicemails and text notifications that they are. And they are always horrifically understaffed. If you're going to only have one idiot checking out customers make sure they know what the hell they are talking about.

I'm sat at home when I should be heading off to work, second night in a row, only ever had more than one night off twice in 20 odd years. I have had the worst acidic epigastric pain for the last week and a half. I actually can't believe what an awful pain it is, I've been in tears twice and I'm not prone to crying. GP has given me some meds which should kick in after a few days, I hope they work cos the antacids aren't doing much.
Sorry, also not prone to having pity parties but I just need to have a whinge.

Starmie, do you have GERD? I remember crying once at night when I first had it but it is completely under control now. I take omeprazole (available over the counter in drugstores) which is the generic of what the dr. first prescribed for me.

Did you have any GI tests done? Do you know what is causing this? I hope you feel better by the time you read this. Please let us know.

As Perri said, be careful Amandacurls. I have the type of job where I have to make it to work, no matter the weather conditions. Over the past 10 years I have watched them go from closing work for the other offices to not closing and giving each employee (other than my department and law enforcement, of course) the option to choose if they come in or not, but you have to take time off now. They can't force them to endanger themselves, but basically wish they would. They also don't always take care of the parking lot. Sometimes they try but can't keep up with it and other times their salt supply is so low they can not afford to use it every time. It's a side effect of the economy. The state runs into the same problem with roads. They only get a specific allotment of salt, can only hit main roads first, and then secondary if they have time and resources. I get cussed over that one quite often, but it is what it is.

Just take your time and wear good shoes!

I hope the calls so far do not signify what our day will be like. I see no point in reporting someone for passing you on the dbl yellow line, 10 miles after the fact, and after you've lost sight of them. Too little, too late.

Why won't people let me have a good day. I mentioned how slammed we were yesterday and how my co worker hardly helped with anything. Well, here comes my office supervisor with her little tally sheet of how many 911's were answered with in 10 seconds yesterday. 58%. How many were answered in 20 seconds, 95%. I picked up my phone and did a test call. Let it ring 3 times because that is the number of times we try our hardest to not let it ring over, answered it, said test 3 times and hung up. Total duration from just before the first rung until I said test x3 and hung up... 19 seconds. I am ready to shove this sheet of paper up her butt. She knew we were short one person yesterday. The phone is picked up with in 12 seconds, at the most, and for the life of me IDK why it has scores on the phone being picked up with in 1-2 minutes. It wont even ring that long. That's all 100%, of course.

PS- My shift supervisor told her to put it on my desk. *^%# +|~^%

45 911's answered yesterday. That's just the 9, 911's. It does not count 5 other administrative lines that rang non stop. Guess who answered the over whelming majority of all? You already know.

To the person stopped in the middle of the road, firing a gun out of your vehicle window, toward a building... I hope you die if a fiery car crash. Considering that you kept your ex wife inside, at gun point, years ago, before slitting her wrists and leaving her to die all while making others think it was a suicide attempt... I hope it's slow and painful.'
