My legs were so dry, that I used leave-in conditioner instead of lotion

I was not at home and I didn't have any bobby pins so I used a toothpick

You're right, juana. I meant Mars, but I wrote the Moon.

I was just pretty mean to an oil delivery guy (a lot of people around here use oil for heat — I don't know how it works). He was on my property and I don't like the people who own the house where the oil tank he was filling is located. He rolled his eyes at me, and was chewing a toothpick. That's when I got mean. It's not too often lately that I come across someone toward whom I want to direct the f-bomb, but he made the cut. (Although I didn't say it. Out loud. Within hearing. Outside.)

Oh, God! Yes, it was me. I wrote about it on my blog.

I am still really ashamed of that. It seemed appropriate at the time, though!

You are so thoughtful, PerriP. I wish you lived nearby, so we could talk about getting together, and then not do it because we're both introverts (I mean this in the nicest possible way).

I did lose my head that day. Those momentary explosions seem worth it at the time, but the shame hangover lasts a looooooooong time. You did the right thing.

Screaming in horror over suggestions that Tank Girl be remade because the 95 movie just was not right. And screaming heresy at some of the choices of actresses to play her. While there was a difference in the movie and late 80's-mid 90's comic... Oh, eff it. I don't care. None of the women you suggested could even begin to pull that character off, based on source material or not.

When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Well that didn't work.

^ I wore something similar to school, but a tank under it, even though see through button up shirts were every where.

Gah!! Everything on my porch keeps blowing away.

I always did love that story. Post Apocalyptic. No water left for anyone but the elite. Plus a rowdy girl, and her tank (and some SDRR).

I love my male co worker. He has 24 year old twins (today). Man and woman (which seems strange to say because they were 14 when I started there. time... gone!). He is 54 years old, a farmer, and when giving advice to soon to be parents who are wondering how to relate to their child he says, "Just don't treat em' any different. I treated mine exactly the same. The same rules applied to both, I let them make their own decisions, fall, grow and learn. My boy always hated the farm, he moved away, he does nursing and paramedic work. My girl would rather be on a tractor, or in the woods killing dinner, and she hates being away from the farm. She also works with pre school children, and loves that too."

His kids are fantastic. Both. His son works at 2 different hospitals. He helps people 24-7, and his daughter does the same, with tea cup people.

^^^thank you!

some of it had been sitting for a while, but i posted it because yet ANOTHER scummy guy posted on one of the PoF forums about how fat and disgusting women over 40 are in this city. he apparently just moved here.

of course, the scummy hypocrite lists his age as 47, uses a 12-year-old picture for his profile, then says he's actually 51 and looks much younger than he is.

i got news for this guy - he has a pic of himself as he currently looks on his profile and he looks OLDER than 51!

what bugged me most about the experience is that they are the ones who are supposed to be "helping" us through the process.

i don't know how y'all do it down there - fighting with your insurance companies... it must be a horribly disheartening experience.

i'm giving serious thought to going to Mexico to get the surgery on my own dime.
