Michael Rapaport is a good actor and I am glad to see him on Justified this season, but he should not be trying to do a southern accent. He's way to NY for that. It does not even remotely sound natural.

Why in god's name do women continue to think that they look good with lip injections?! Yuck!

Well, I'm pleased (if not a little surprised) to say that the trap worked - teeny, tiny little mouse in it by morning. My SO was heading off the next day to a cycling thing so took it with him and released it in a vineyard (not entirely sure why a vineyard but there you go!). Son wanted to keep it as a pet - he used to have mice when he was younger but he's 19 now and really should know better than to keep wild mice. He's always had a soft spot where animals are concerned and has recently become vegetarian.

Perri - I hope you're feeling better, runny noses are the pits, I invariably end up with a coldsore from broken skin when my hayfever or a cold hits.

Saw the snow on TV here - hope you're all staying warm and safe.

That's where the ones most highly regarded for their trade come from. The other is set in a snake handling area of the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky. Don't confuse the two. We're the drunks, they're the weirdo fundamentalists. So anyway, the two accents are different, and neither one mix well with the accent of someone born in Manhattan. Oil and water, in speaking terms alone. Rapaport is and will remain fairly limited in the accent department. It can't be helped.

ETA: My poor brother has to have sinus surgery, yet again. The dry air messes with him, and he can be prone to chronic sinus infections. At moment every single area of his nasal passages are infected. He is on incredibly high powered (kill a horse high powered) anti b's and completely miserable. Dry air helps send him over the edge.

I always laugh when people from (really from, not transplant from because that will also make a difference with that persons linguistics) NY and CA think they do not have an accent. And proudly claim it like accents are a tragedy. It's as thick as a southern accent, just completely different.

Perrip, I trying to post the pic, but you know how mad the app can be

The gauge in my car red -12 on Monday. That means is was 32 degrees warmer in Anchorage Alaska than it was in Cleveland. Madness

Who is the heck in calling Rick? Will it be real? an illustion? another group of survivors? #walkingdead
I have probably seriously pissed of my best friend now but I don't care. He stopped speaking to me yesterday after I asked him questions that a 40 year old man should have already asked himself.

After working his 3rd or 4th shift in over 3 months he decided that he hates it and he is going to be moving to Colorado with this 24 year old twit to blow glass and (I can't believe I am saying this) grow pot on a larger scale.

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1389200335.004597.jpg

Wtf? He quit his job months ago but still picked up a shift here and there and just went back on 2 day a week schedule. He can't even make rent. The incredibly confused guy he is seeing, who can not even say "We are dating" quit his job a month ago. Neither have money. This guy does do smaller hand blown glass items but my friend has not a clue. Working two days a week is too stressful and brings on migraines but yet he thinks blowing hot glass and cultivating Mary Jane will somehow be easier. Both are a great deal of work, not to mention the rules and regulations for cultivating. I asked him if either had even looked into that and pondered the cost of permits, licensing, indoor and outdoor space due to climate and any and every thing you need before you can properly grow? Of course he has not. He's just watched Weeds.

I also asked him to ponder why he falls for very confused and lost people who are on the verge of running somewhere else due to a hair brained scheme every time he is going through a severe bout of depression and is ready to run from himself. He said he was running toward himself. I told him he always says that and ends up back home 4-6 months later, absolutely miserable. Colorado or Nebraska or DC or Florida or ... will not change his mental state. Neither will the guys he follows there.

So yeah, I did it right but again... F IT! I am not going to hold back or lie to him or try to spare his feelings. I love him 2 much. I'm going to ask him to think before he does this again, and he can or he can piss off. I'm tired of mopping up. I've been doing it for well over 20 years.

*Wonky phone and app today.

I wish he would find a good person and ride off into the paint by numbers sunset but jeebus! These two are seriously not compatible on any level that constitutes an actual "relationship".

I really dislike those people who are constantly trying to "one up" you and compare your life to theirs repeatedly. Seriously, I don't care if your life is ten times "better" than mine, just please stop telling me every intimate detail of your life like I was your best friend for the last fifteen years. I don't know you, I'm happy for you, and I really don't care to share all of my details with you so that you can counteract them with why your way of living is so much better than mine.

^^ I always tell people "when you move, don't forget your are talking yourself". He will be ok. Some people just don't like to hear the truth

Glassblowing is HARD work. The amount you spend on studio/kilm time will eat into any profit for a loooong time.
^ Yes it will and his friend is just making paper weights at this time. He doesn't have the set up for any larger items. Now that he is not working he soon will not have the resources for anything else.

I've not said a word the 900 other times he has moved but I said something the last time he thought about it because the guy was an alcoholic and a half, they were having major problems, and my friend was acting all weird and stalker-ish. He was hiding in the dark watching this guys house to see if he was sleeping with someone else. I kept saying take what little dignity you have left and run! He'a not even remotely worth this. He's just a rich sugar daddy with family in the NY restaurant business.

It does get exhausting though. He always moves with no money and ends up calling me about 3 weeks in and I spend months hearing tales of woe from the place that was supposed to be paradise.

Isht! Idk if my well is going to get fixed today or not. If there is any complication for the well crew to run into to... they have.

Really wonky app today. If I go to edit it shows that everything is written normally, but the post has all kinds of crazy typo's. "into to"

Whenever someone says one up I flash back to spat I witnessed my friends daughter have on FB. People with the flu were trying to one up each other. :-/ I kept thinking... How does that work exactly? My cough is worse than yours! They were actually just talking about flu that half the school came down with.

Teenagers. (I won't even get started on the teen "how to not one up" blog I read. It could have easily been summed up by saying, don't ever speak. ever). I'm glad that was not a common term in the 90's. there was enough high school BS to deal with before one upping went into fashion.

Ha! I just saw a Bosley Medical Hair Transplant commercial with Joey Fatone from N Sync. "The public never saw one side of me because of Bosley Medical". I was 19 or 20 when they came out, and more than over boy bands, but between him and Brad Pitt on the cover of AARP, I am feeling slightly older than I did last week.

I'm getting a haircut tomorrow by a new person and I'm very nervous! I know this is the non-hair board but it's the nervousness I'm writing about.

It's JUST HAIR Curlypearl!!! Ridiculous. Where is my perspective? I've had f-ing brain surgery for pete's sake. OK, that brought me back to earth.

Well, hi to all of you out there. Sending good thoughts...

Gravy! The fire departments in a nearby county responded to 53 frozen and busted water pipe calls in 48 hours. That is crazy! It's been terrible. There have been numerous calls in my county as well. Lights in kitchens falling out and several inches of water flooding the apartment or business. Not good. That is why I turned off my well pump, main water lines, water heater lines, and killed the power to the water heaters not long after I discovered my water was not working. I searched for frozen pipes, used a hair dryer on anything that felt cold, wrapped them in hot towels, used space heaters, etc. After all that I shut it down. I was not taking chances. Several things can go wrong as a result of your well pump trying to run with no water flowing.

Yay!!! Shameless comes back on sunday. I adore that show.

I just can't imagine temps that cold. I mean I lived in the UK until I was 28 - saw plenty of snow - and have been to the snowfields here in Oz, but I don't recall it ever being that cold.

It's going to be 41c here next Tues (106f). Yuck, yuck, yuck.
