the Evil Coworker is being especially evil today - she's being horribly rude to the Financial Clerk...

i'm just going to stay here in my corner until it's time to go home and keep planning my Big Event in April!

Because I'm weird and I see things that make me think of people here, I'm posting this link to a short story for Ms. Fifi.

Fin did fine all day. Dry pants. No dirty look about wearing his pants. I think he kind of likes them lol (he certainly doesn't mind them)
I'll keep an eye in him the next several days.
Thanks!

Yep. I think I would have known it if I would not have watched the movie fairly recently.

I swear that movie works it's way into you, and stays. 25 years later and I can still clearly remember seeing it at the theater. It still makes me feel like a freshman in high school, and you are not alone. I still cry my eyes out.

Hope Fin is ok.
After Jed had his check-up, injections and bloods less than a week ago - and got a clean bill of health - he's now developed what looks to be conjuctivitis in his left eye. Why couldn't he have got it last week so I only have to pay for one visit to the vet?!

Yeah, no one really wants to hear that almost 40 Air Force nuclear missile officers were caught cheating on a monthly recert test and kicked out. Or that it was discovered after a separate drug investigation that comes on the heels of blatant safety violations, and a high ranking officer there being fired for being drunk and embarrassing behavior in Moscow. And several allegations of airmen & women going to sleep on the job due to burn out (which I can relate to burn out). Wtf?!?! They have said for several years now that incredibly large percentages of students admit to cheating and having no problem with cheating so one can easily expect that to continue into adulthood and on the job. Regardless, that does not make anyone feel better. Lets slack on safety in our launch sites, all go to sleep, cheat, do drugs and get drunk.

I don't think those two things have anything to do with each other

I can't wait to see some of the movies nominated for oscars. 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and Her are at the top of my list, but i want to see all. Just based on what I heard about Fassbenders performance in TYAS I thought he was going to be the one to beat, but that seems to be Jared Leto. I can't be mad about that, no matter how much I adore Fassbenders acting talent. He is amazing, but Jordan Catalano is no slouch himself. He played a cute, stoner, air head to perfection in My So Called Life, but you saw his real talent in more odd ball roles. Then he went off to work on music. Good to see him come back, and I mean come on! JHC @ the transformation he and MM under went for that movie.

Fassbender did it in Hunger. Bale has done it, and they all seem to hit this spot that takes their acting to the next level. Insanity. Hurts to look at but brilliant when playing someone with Aids or an Irish prisoner on hunger strike, etc.

Yesterday one of my younger coworkers said, in reply to my observation that she'd look great with a pixie cut, "Guys don't like short hair. A pixie cut is the first nail in the coffin of middle age."

(Also posted in the "hair length and age" thread.)

You that are still racist need to GET OVER IT! This is a new millennium and black people have more than proved they are not inferior in any area. Re-evaluate yourself and stop needing to make someone less so you can feel superior.

I am part Cherokee, [hurt to read in my history class about the "Trail of Tears"], part Ethiopian, [hurt to hear about the "Unwilling Immigrants" taken because the were disease-free, industrial, agricultural, strong and couldn't escape across the sea], and French/Spanish Creole...and all were intelligent, hard-working and peaceful...as well as oppressed. Enough already!!!

Get to know people individually and even historically before you judge them...smh!
