I wish this afternoon would hurry up! I'm ready to go out and come back home. I still need that nap, and have a ton of laundry to do.

I can now officially say that Flu swabs are uncomfortable.

Grrrr! Spent 2.5 hours in the doctors office to see him all of 10 minutes. Now I have to wait 45 min at the pharmacy.

ETA: Highlight of my appointment... Got to catch up with one of the finest guys in my town. He's married, but just looking at him is good enough. It always has been. He's part of a handsome pair. He and his brother were 3 and 5 years older than me but we hung out with some of the same people. I think they are even better looking now, though I have no idea how that is humanly possible.

^ No where near as annoying as throat swabs though. Gawd I hated those as a kid. I would be the first to let them stick me and watch as they took blood but if you come at me with a giant q-tip, you better hand it to me. It didn't bother me as bad when they let me do it myself

Jed has an infection in his eye so is now on ointment three times a day. He's not loving it. Nor is he loving the massive thunderstorm we've just had. I am as it rained on my garden so I don't have to go out with the hose-pipe in the morning.

Mightily annoyed that Del Potro got knocked out of the Aus Open yesterday. The one player I wanted to see when I go at the weekend, is it really too much to ask? Apparently so.

I didn't even see your post yesterday. My phone is back to skipping over or not showing all at times.

You can tell from my nose swab post that I did No flu! That was the last thing they did and told me they would call me yesterday evening before they left or this morning if it was positive. No news is good news. Didn't think I had it, but they wanted to make money. Oops. Be sure. Sinus infection, and either feeling crappy as a result of it or fighting off a little cold. They gave me a Z-Pack. I wish it was the pack. My insurance covers it entirely. :-/ A few more pills throws them for a loop!

I can't get the flu shot until I am out of the woods with this. I think I heard 22 people in NC had already died with flu (that might have been total in the US so far. I was cooking and missed a little). Most younger. Children, some in their early teens and 20's. One man, who was 55, died 2 weeks after due to fluid in the lungs. It's no joke this year. Our hospitals are full and have visiting restrictions.

ETA: it is 22 dead in NC alone. It was 13 on the 3rd, but it's 22 now. We will be implementing our emergency flu protocols at work soon, I am sure (special instructions we use on 911 calls). We have had to do that one other time in the 10 years I have been there.

Last ETA: It's now up to 27. 5 more died in one day.

Damn pigs and their flu's!! This is disgusting, and he would probably kill me for saying it, but the bestie had H1N1 and I am not sure if he had a touch of the stomach flu on top of it too (it seems to be lasting 12 hours) or if it was so bad it made him use the bathroom all over himself several times. He is a heavy smoker and didn't smoke or want to for 4 days. Tis nasty.

I really could have slept a little longer. I took my meds after dinner, and was feeling okay until the moment I laid down at 3 or 3:30 and then the head pressure, pain and a cough started again. I think it was 5 am before I fell asleep. Third night in a row. I was not pleased. I did sleep like the dead until 11.

I'm also mad because I went to bed with dry and pretty nails and woke up with little indentations in them. Evil. Guess I will be doing a glitter coat after all.

Anyone else met members of the Rainbow Family (started in the 70's after shootings at Kent State)? Don't get me wrong. On an individual level I have met some very nice members, and I have also met some complete and total psychopaths. Several members were leader in different movements when it was created. Feminists, Black Panthers, A.I.M, Stop the Vietnam War, etc. In the 80's and 90's, as a whole, they were quite the motley crew. They loved the parks in my area. Loved them to death. They would obliterate them in a weekend. Heaps of trash, used needles, piles of isht (literally). They would leave it all for the rangers to clean up. I always hated it when a large group came through. A few on a road trip, not so bad.

They never could let go of Woodstock.

I think that people in schools should have some responsibility from 7th grade so when they go to college things won't be hard

Crackle has some of the best old movies (every b rated horror movie you can think of), but the quality was horrible on my tv. Everything showed up in 4.3 format. That is why I avoid watching shows online via laptop or pc. I have refused to do tiny screens since I had a 19 inch tv in elementary and high school. It makes me feel like a kid again, and not in a good way. *Not just that, I've got to have some loud surround sound to go with my picture.

Ah! I ran out to pick up some donuts and it is absolutely pouring snow. Nothing sticking yet, but it will be soon if this keeps up.

Eeee. The wind is not pleasant. It has to be close to the single digits with WC. That's what I get for leaving my coffee in the car. That's okay though. I can't drink super hot coffee. It needed a turbo freeze to get to regular coffee temperature.
