Poor Mia. I hate when they aren't well. Big hugs to you (I figure if you get enough hugs we'll hold you still to stop the pacing)

I hope she feels better soon

I tried sietan recently. I liked it but a little too meat like for me. It kind of grossed me out. But I got some that was in chunks. I think crumbled bits would be better for me.

I bet you money it came from a stupid weather blog going around facebook. People have been sharing it since wednesday or so. It has this picture attached

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1391381505.773259.jpg

That is the first thing you see but the guy carefully explains in the blog that this is not a forecast and it is a shot from a European Model that went bonkers. He does not expect this and please don't go around telling people a foot or more of snow is coming. It is expected to change. Again, you never know, because it is still winter. That fact alone made this guys whole blog dumb. Hey!!! Guess what? There still might be another chance for snow.

Tell me something I don't know.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Thanks, PerriP.

I didn't know it came in chunks. I might like that better. I was expecting something more like tofu. Not the case.

M. is currently napping by a heater, wrapped in a blankie. She seems fine again, but I know she'll be sick again tomorrow, or the day after.

This is what I had but I want to try the ground kind.

Hope Mia's feeling better today and you don't need a trip to the vet. I had to go back again with Jed as his eye was still weepy - second lot of ointment seems to have done the trick. He doesn't mind the vet but he was disappointed this time as no-one gave him treats - usually the vet and the receptionist both give treats and neither of them did. He just sat there waiting by the counter, couldn't seem to quite believe that we were leaving before he got any!
Though honestly, what kind of vet forgets to give treats to good boys?! Tut.

Friend: Well what site did you meet him on?
Me: Ok cupid
Friend: (one day later). I hate this site. it's full of loosers. (continues to complain about it)

Fast forward to Saturday night when we are out. I finally give in and her show a picture

Friend: he has locs. I don't like locs. No, you can't date him.
Me: Do you realize that about 50% of them men I've dated have had locs. I like locs. Afterall, I am natural
Friend: well I don't like it. uh-ah. H&llllllllls no!
Me: Well, it's a good thing you're not dating him. (ends conversation)

I have one friend who ALWAYS wants to see a pic...and she ALWAYS has something critical to say. (Incidentally, she is ALWAYS single.)

I friends who IMO are dating rather unattractive men. But I would never tell them. Sometimes they even ask me directly for my opinion (Why??????) and I will still hem and haw around it and try to be diplomatic.

Exactly.

The best part of this, is she turns around and continues to push up on a guy who 1) never went out with her because she wasn't a priority to him 2) is clearly uniterested.

I also had "friends" voice their opinion about his choice of dress and so forth. Couldn't care less about that as I was dating him for his personality not the way he dressed.

She's better thus far today, but I'm watching her like a hawk. How is it that a dog who was recently very ill can still manage to eat cat poo? Because she did, first thing this morning. I'm sure she's annoyed with me because I keep walking into the bedroom where she's sleeping and checking on her, which wakes her up. We also went all the way around the block on walkies, and she was as annoying as usual (so stubborn!). I hope this signals improvement, but I won't feel confident until a few days pass with no symptoms.

Thank you so much for asking.

Hope Fin is well, too.

I had no idea who won the SB until a few minutes ago, but I have seen a few good commercials today. My favorite so far had to be the Jaguar British Villains add. It's good to be bad. Haha! Anything with Ben Kingsley is automatically good.

Random, meaningless but annoying observation

Why is TV Tropes such a horribly misinformed site? I come so many of those. 99% speculation on subjects the person obviously has no clue about, and people go around regurgitating it as fact.

^ The largely misinformed masses do make me laugh a little. The interweb is far from liquid gold and do not believe everything you read still widely applies.

I miss my friend. He was wanting to come stay with me tonight and tomorrow but I am cruddy and it's not a good time. Don't know when I will see him again. The road is too mushy, more snow might be on the way, and I feel like crap.

At least he seems to be attempting to get back on track. He finally talked about some of the issues he has been having and is taking steps toward resolving them. That's half the battle. It will be nice to have my friend back, at some point. He has been lost in the fog of his own mind for some time and unable to focus on anything other than the non stop hamster wheel.

Ugh. The green in me goes red when I see misinformation spread. The only thing you prove is that people will believe anything if it's spoken with authority. Authority does not automatically equal trustworthy. So much anecdotal evidence and so little time....I wanna see the receipts. LOL, really. Calm the eff down.
