I just caught the ending of Bill Mahers Religulous. Every time I hear his closing statements I laugh.

"If the world does come to an end here, or wherever, or if it limps into the future, decimated by the effects of religion-inspired nuclear terrorism, let's remember what the real problem was. We learned how to precipitate mass death before we got past the neurological disorder of wishing for it."

Please do tell that to the numerous people I know both religious, and not even remotely close to it, who wish for the end. I'm afraid it's not that simple Bill, or easy to generalize. Just ask my best friend. He had a 2012 stock pile, and was looking forward to the end of the great nothing.

Go Rou!! Don't go half hussy, paint those nails red too hehe. Screw em. Politics are dirty. No secret there. If no real dirt can be found and fabrication will not stick, picking apart the little things is always next.

Good luck with your presentation!

"Eventually it was discovered, that God did not want us to be all the same. This was Bad News for the Governments of The World, as it seemed contrary to the doctrine of Portion Controlled Servings. Mankind must be made more uniformly if The Future was going to work. Various ways were sought to bind us all together, but, alas, same-ness was unenforceable. It was about this time, that someone came up with the idea of Total Criminalization. Based on the principle, that if we we're all crooks, we could at last be uniform to some degree in the eyes of The Law. [...] Total Criminalization was the greatest idea of its time and was vastly popular except with those people, who didn't want to be crooks or outlaws, so, of course, they had to be Tricked Into It... which is one of the reasons, why music was eventually made Illegal."

Good grief at the comments under some topics. People talking about financial aid, student loans, narcissism, etc. One person says...

"In a society that has failed to provide and refuses to value investments in basic safety nets such as heath care and educational reform that the generation before us enjoyed without much work, it’s only natural to see evidence of individualism and “narcissism."

If only to look after ourselves in an uncertain age, where basic living standards are neither guaranteed to, nor expected by, those who work (read: the country’s refusal to back any sort of living wage/minimum wage reform), we are told to be both aggressive and attractive in order to survive.

Women are doubly under pressure to sexualize and exhibit their own bodies as the only seemingly effective currency they have in a world where one of the few female politicians in office was publicly chastised for not wearing makeup.

These “narcissistic traits" are survival masks in a “free-market," everyone-looks-out-for-themselves, anti-welfare society; they are not simply examples of legitimate entitlement by overindulged children.

Fellow millennials seem to be a hardworking bunch; all the young people i know have worked throughout their college years (mostly full time), taking on debt as well as unpaid internships in lieu of real paying jobs.

We have sacrificed an enormous amount for the benefit of the generation before us, who, after receiving subsidized college tuition, a living wage, and participation in union jobs, deny us the same benefits.

We’re just trying to make it work the best we can."

You do know that college subsidies started in the 1800's, right? It started in the form of land grants for institutions that would create agricultural colleges. Of course, people got greedy and squirreled (not squared iPhone) the benefits. In the 40's, the GI Bill came about giving free tuition to veterans. I often see people make statements saying that everyone in America got free tuition at one point. I don't know if they have confused the GI Bill with all or what. Not so, again some got greedy and took advantage. Anywho, the Higher Education Act of 1965 is what set the precedent for student loans, grant programs, and other aid of today. The oldest members of Gen X were, depending on which dates you go by, 1-4 years old when this passed. It still continues today, at an even greater level. I fact there is more of a push to forgive student loans today than there ever has been, despite the fact that tuition has been on a major climb since the 80's. The inflation of college tuition surpasses every other form of inflation. It's grown at twice the rate since the 60's. Hmmm, I wonder why. Perhaps you'll see a pattern and reach a conclusion yourself. One other than Gen X won't let me get mine. I have no urge to keep someone from getting an education. I could not afford to go to the school I wanted and could not completely finish my education for many reasons, one being the substantial amount of programs being cut. I wasted 3 years going after a degree in programs that were cut before I could finish. I could not take on loans. They were the debbil, and most were aware it would take them numerous years to repay them due to wages. Sorry it is the case. I really am, but remove head from ass.

* Yes, I would comment on the blog myself if the comments were not closed. Try to read up on stuff, because my nephew is facing a world of debt, and run into that nonsense. You are ultimately responsible for your choices. None of us can help the greed. And I'm guessing the women being educated to sell themselves (you went to some crazy primary schools) part is in reference to a comment someone made about high rates of plastic surgery in relation to narcissism.

You guys!

Everyone knows that the best gifts are purchased the week before Xmas. For you "organized" types, we'll expand it to ten days. But that's only because I like you.

I don't know when or how you two nice ladies missed this rule, but I'm here to share the bounty of the wisdom of oblivion.

When talking about film settings, I am not crazy about the LED lighting being used in LA now, with NY soon to follow. It's bright and gray. Not much in the ambiance department. *And there go the shadowy sidewalk scenes, w/o major adjustment that is. I see you following me from a mile away!! Not bad in the grand scheme of things, but again changes film. I read it will not be an easy fix* I'm also curious to see if people will complain. So much research has been done on this type of LED lighting (same as clocks, computers and cells) causing insomnia and other problems. *One being headaches.

One more just incase someone wants to read it and then I am done. It's one of the latest articles about this type of lighting, though the research has been going on for several years.

It is interesting to think that it can/could deplete your melatonin and lead to more anxiety disorders and depression. Makes sense, given the large increase in both. If people start flipping out to the extreme in these cities, we know why. It's not just the interwebs anymore, Toto.

I would not think you were mean if you did. *I would actually appreciate someone wondering why many young women seem to think Feminism can end all period jokes, or any other thing that you don't want to hear, and put an end to unisex clothing in the work place. Especially when some want that clothing in the work place. I would think several of these are jokes but there are far too many, and I have seen numerous examples of young women striving for dictatorship via feminism* A great deal of it boils down to 'someone said something I did not like'. That will happen, and can be annoying, but it does not require a billboard.

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1391881225.255543.jpg

*I have to say I am amused by the number of people who get honestly upset when someone says make me a sandwich. Like you are in danger of being forced to make a sandwich against your will. You're in college. Subway makes most of your sandwiches. Lol. That's one of my favorite lines of banter that usually follows with me telling someone to suck ...

And these are college students. I refrained from posting the guy who said, "I need feminism because my granny is effing awesome".

Speaking of, I could slap Duke University. The 16 women in their Women's Study Program started this (not very good) campaign. Enrollment down? No jobs? Pardon, I forgot to say MALE DOMINATED DUKE UNIVERSITY! Forget the fact that more women were enrolled the year before, and most universities have fluctuating male to female ratios. You absolutely do not see any references to FEMALE DOMINATED DUKE UNIVERSITY in those years, or calls to even up the ratio then. Bothers me. Bothers me to no end that teenagers are being focused on with campaigns of this nature and numerous blogs giving reasons why feminism is cool. Most of which have nothing to do with feminism, or are strange claims on other women, in the name of it.

I have not watched every episode of Honey Boo Boo this season, but I am guessing Chubs doesn't want to be called Chubs anymore. Every time June starts to say it she corrects herself and says Jessica. Ha. Oh, that moment when the childhood nickname has to die. I went through it. For a little while my father changed it to Saddle Bags, and I loving called him, old man abandoned in the nursing home, sipping peanut butter through a straw.

I do feel bad anytime I see people saying really ugly things about this family based on the fact that they are southern, not as well educated as some, and previously lived in poverty. When the Really Plastic Housewives of Kim K's Butt are spent, they will still have some money stashed away, if June has a say in it.

Calm down, relax and buy some patience.
