Now this will be stuck in my head. Hehe. He stole it from my dad.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Feeling a bit meh - parents left for home today and are probably landing in Singapore right about now. House feels pretty empty and quiet though I am looking forward to a night in my own bed after 4 1/2 weeks on a sofa bed.

I can't believe that much time has passed already! Have a good night's sleep.

I need feminism because I'm bloated. But I think Midol will work better. Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I need some sunshine.

I wish I find the quilting book my mom wants. Mainly I just wish she would actually start quilting so I would feel better about buying the book. She lays her stuff out and looks at it for days. She has always been a sewer, done needle point, etc. She loves it regardless of it being a need or a want. She got out of the habit in the years that her parents got sick and died. Between work, home, and their home she had absolutely no free time. It snowballed from there. She has been collecting patches of fabric for quits, here and there, since the 80's and I honestly don't think she knows where to start.

ETA: Lets just thank the good lord she got out of her macrame phase! I almost burnt the house down twice by accidentally catching plant holders on fire during power outages. Put a candle in the general area and WOOSH!

Minxy I hope she has talked to someone. It is way past time to take action against her.

So I wanted to cry this afternoon. The bestie called me and cried for well over an hour. He will not be moving to Colorado because the drifting glass blower/pot grower he was thinking of moving with changed his mind yet again. Surprise, surprise! I am just glad it happened now, rather than after he spent a great deal of money to move away. It was happening one way or the other. He is in such pitiful shape right now. He has reached the lowest low of his life and he has been living in it for so long. He is well aware, he is taking steps, and I could not be prouder. I still worry because he won't give anything a change. Antidepressants... Taken them all! Nothing works! In reality, it's been 15 years sine he has taken one. Therapy... Never helps! In reality, he tried it one time and never went back. He screams no before he ever gives anything a chance, and he is really going to have to open his mind right now. If he doesn't, I don't think he will live like this much longer. All I can do is ask him to tell professionals exactly what he told me, and hope he can push himself a little. He is stuck in the rut of staying at home 24-7, on the computer. Hell, so is almost everyone we know. That's part of the problem, except he hardly even leaves for work anymore and you can not get him to go out 99% of the time. I've not been able to get him to go out for several years.

Isn't it lovely when depression symptoms become a common way of life?

fifi, I hope he can find the motivation to get help in some form or another, it doesn't sound good for him at all atm.

ruralcurls - I hope minxy is ok, I can't believe she's still having problems with her ex, it's been going on for so long. Let her know we're thinking of her and sending hugs, if you can.

I took ages to get to sleep last night, the bed was way too comfy, I'd obviously got used to the lumps, bumps and springs of the sofa bed. And I still woke up with an aching back. Sigh.

I hope he can too, Starmie. That worries me the most. I talked to him about it as gently as I could. He gets stuck in this place (the hamster wheel in his head) where he is not honest with himself or anyone else. He will tell you something or you will see him do something one day and when you bring it up a day or two layer in a discussion, because it was relevant and important, he says he doesn't do it/never feels that way. It's very hard to get anywhere with him because he automatically shuts it down. He is going to have to open up to a doctor the way he opens up to me, but remain present. I am not sure if he can at this point without medication. I know he does not want it, but he needs it. He really needs it, and therapy. We had several long talks and spats before he made his appointment, but I am so glad he did. It was worth it.

I hope he will okay tonight. He was going to visit this guy for the last time before he moves. *Which i am not crazy about, especially in his frame of mind but he has it stuck in his head that he needs to explain exactly how he made him feel and make him understand this. Warn him that someone will jerk him around one day, and tell him to think of him when it happens. He is 24. He is immature and confused. My friends has known this all along. I've been there. I've wanted to do that, hell I have done that! BUT... It doesn't do any good. He played a part in it too. And When someone breaks your heart you are not thinking of your ex.

You can find me crying all of the time.

Monday, Monday, it just turns out that way.

It wasn't all bad, but I got bonked on the head by falling cat food bowls; spilled a vase filled with flowers and water; and got stuck in the snow in my driveway (drove myself out). It's been a bunch of little things.

I hate how often I manage to set myself up to get hit on the head. I feel like I have this in common with Homer Simpson. It hurts, and it's embarrassing. D'oh!
