^ No. No it isn't. I'd only be worried if you were chewing on your vegan shoe collection.

I was just watching part of My Super Sweet 16's most memorable meltdowns. Please don't ask why. I can hardly even stand to watch the show. Any the way's, I always want to tell the parents to kill it with fire. It being their brats. I can not imagine having a child that acted like half these twits. Your parents buy you a $70,000 car for your 15th birthday (not 16th, but 15th, therefore it is a "practice car") and you throw a giant isht fit because your mom gave it to you before your party. You life is ruined, you hate her, she is a f**king idiot. The dramaz and Oh no's. I'd show her what a ruined life looks like.

When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I don't know why this makes me giggle. How many is "a lot?" What is it about shoes that is addicting to you?

It sounds like a pretty harmless addiction as these things go, but if you have 70-80 pairs, I dunno. Ha ha!

2/c and some 3A.
Protein sensitive but can use occasionally
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift
Some parents must not stop, think and realize what a disservice they are doing to their child and the world by raising kids like that. I say this with all sincerity. As an adult I have had to work with women close to their late 20's and 30's who throw screaming and crying fits when they don't get their way. I don't think they realize how ridiculous they look. Can't function. Can't do anything on their own. If they were not so manipulative and mean, I might feel sorry for them.

I think if you are WORRIED about it, then it may be something to cut back on - but if you just THINK you should be worried about it (because of your time in the sticks), then maybe let it go.
You could always just mark your calendar to revisit this in two months - if it's grown by a lot, then yes, you know there is a problem. If you are doing fine, then it's all good.

Good point!

I think I feel slightly guilty about indulging myself.

@CP, why do I buy shoes so often? Because I love them! Looking down at my feet and seeing a pair of silver boots or black and gold studded sneaker-heels or sequined converse delights me. I'm not a big jewelry wearer, and my clothes are generally subtle to the point of plain, but shoes are where I flare my feathers and do la danse l'amour (just kidding. I couldn't care less what men think of my choices.).

They also make me happy at work, where I'm frequently restless (I'm an antsy type).

For everyone all agog with curiosity as to my concern regarding my boss... She recently broke her leg, and yesterday she got a knee scooter.... This is what I did to it after she left.

She did love it

And my dear Deenie, I see absolutely nothing extravagant about your shoe collection! No need to worry!

I don't vacation ...and I don't want to be away from my dogs for very long (though that's another issue some people may not agree with).

She washed it 2 times *No, 3 times* on Wednesday. I've not touched it since other than spraying some water and putting a little LI & mousse in it. I really should have checked the very back this morning before I set foot outside my house. I took a pic and screamed. I had, what looks like, barrel roll bed head. I do like the color and highlights though.

^ yes, i hate being away from finlay - but I know at my parents' he'll probably be more spoiled than if he'd spent the time with me

I worry that he won't feel loved and secure if I leave him (which is why I'm so happy mom and dad will take care of him)

We have been taking the Romester with us on vacay (but we've only taken long weekends so far, and haven't gone further than 3 hours drive from home)

I am so tired today. I wanted to get in bed earlier but I got sucked into figure skating. At least I can wear lounge clothes the rest of the weekend.

*You 2 are not alone. I hate leaving my cats. I won't take them anywhere else. They would never forgive me if did. I have people check on them, feed them, and pay attention to them. They do get upset. They used to ignore me for a day or 2 after I got back. Now one of them refuses to eat while I am gone. Dry food is left out so she wont starve. She's just protesting. Got to do what I've got to do, though. They get over it and forgive me. I can speed the recovery time up with catnip and treats.

I was talking to a (super holy roller) woman I know today and she was telling me that her daughter stopped working at a drug store when they started selling beer. She has a moral objection to working at any establishment that sells alcohol. Hahaha. Her oldest daughter is a year or 2 younger than me, started drinking at 13, parties like crazy, and probably got fired. It amazes me. I worked with her youngest daughter years ago. I really like her. Good person, she rarely drinks but she will go to a bar to hear music and have a couple beers here and there. Every time I see her she screams DON'T TELL MY MOM! She's 30 now, and terrified of her. My parents had a pretty good idea that I was drinking before I turned 21, knew for sure I was at 21, and they knew I was going to bars at 18 but not drinking in them. They didn't like it but they got over it. I didn't want to lie about where I was. Your kids have to make decisions and be able to handle themselves at some point and mine made an agreement to let me be at 18, as long as i told them where I was going and occasionally checked in if I was going to be gone a day or two.
