When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I do love the song Say Something by A Great Big World but Christina could not be more annoying than she is in the collaboration video. She should have been singing

Woe
Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1393064068.558274.jpg

Woe, woe, woe, woe
Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1393064099.258132.jpg

Did I say woe?

Still floored by the number of women who major in WS and then act surprised that they can't get a job. You've more than likely left a trail of angry ramblings behind you for your future employer to see, on top of getting what boils down to a relatively useless degree (especially in a bad economy), and you are surprised? *And then there are those who yell, "They're holding me down! or back. Who? Your bad decisions?* "They" have a strong reaction to the topic for a reason, and there are numerous examples of why all over the web.

I used to hate leaving Buster in the kennels - all they told us at the RSPCA when we adopted him was that he'd been abandoned, so I used to worry enormously that he'd think he was being abandoned by us too. Awful feeling. He was always happy so long as he was fed and had attention though. Typical dog!
We've never left Jed yet, he was quite stressed at the pound when we got him so no doubt I'd worry about him too.

Pardon while I ramble about debates I am reading.

Okay. I just came across a comment from someone who feels bad while watching "mainstream porn". This person was pondering if the government might consider sponsoring "alternative pornography". Government sponsored Indie Porn. IPC! You have my full curiosity. I would like to see that. Though I imagine it looks a lot like numerous porn's already out there, considering that there are different types.

People!! At least they are entertaining. Now if I can figure out how children having easy access to internet porn is somehow the fault of all people who have watched porn, I will be golden. I suppose they are basing this simply off the fact that there is market but not considering anything else. Like, most of the free sites are not really connected to large porn production companies. Why would they want lose money? I am no way in favor of the easy access that children have now. I am opposed to it. Not too long ago, pornography was kept in back rooms and you had to be 18 to step inside them or rent one. Now you just have to hit a button saying you are 18 on one of the numerous free porn sites. Yes, that bugs me. It bugs me almost as much as the ACLU fighting FOR the rights of confirmed child predators and pornographers to use Facebook and Twitter. Your young child being able to easily lie about their age and watch an adult porn on a site they should not be on while you are not looking is not good, but your child being able to lie about their age and talked into sending someone a photo or meeting them, on sites many have a parents permission to be on, and possibly becoming a part of a CP site is worse. Does that mean everyone who uses Facebook and Twitter is for child predators and sex abuse? Not even close. Does it mean the ACLU and some judges need to get their head examined and parents need to raise complete hell on them? YES. These people are barred by law from places where children gather for a reason.

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, there are approximately 750,000 registered sex offenders in the United States, a number that has soared 23 percent in five years, in part due to web-based predatory behavior.

Why is my friends 16 year old son sending me mass pictures of him and his girlfriend. Hi!... Picture of your girlfriend. Hehe. It's super cute, but he has been doing this for a week now. Him's in love.

*Now if I can get him to stop telling people I am a police operator (Dial 1-900- ME N COPS) and actually meet this girl, my life will be complete.

My 8 year old great-granddaughter has been in the hospital since Tuesday. She has pancreatitis. I posted on Facebook to ask for prayers for her, so has my daughter. We've received lots of well wishes and prayers from a lot of people, most who have never met us or Maddie. They're internet friends, and friends of friends. But...the only ones I've not a heard a word from are my husband's family. Nothing. And they've been on FB a lot and I know they saw the updates on her, and the pictures posted so people can see the child they're praying for.

It really hurts that they care so little for our part of the family, but go out of their way for the other side.

I had to vent, and this was the only place that I can without stirring up a s&!tload of trouble.

Thank-you NC for having a thread like this.
What a WONDERFUL day!!
^ I am sorry. I hope your grand daughter feels better soon and you have my T's & P's.

This thread is a good venting spot.

Spiders dating question thread reminded me of a segment I caught in part on GMA this past Friday. They were going over research on dating profile suicide. Apparently it is fine and well loved for a person to mention cats in general but saying "my cat" is online dating/profile suicide. Dogs were fine. There was also a specific level of bias against specific sports or activities. That is stupid, and I would say part of the reason why I have never done online dating. Lard knows people are far more nit picky and judgmental these days when looking at words. I wish I could have seen everything else they covered. They were making fun of people for being so up tight on these sites. "What is the point in loving cats but hating my cats? Not even reasonable".

Okay, this is funny and not even remotely surprising

http://gma.yahoo.com/pretty-woman-39...-news-sex.html

This or a similar study might be what GMA was talking about in part. I know they said thousands of people were surveyed. That's a lot of hoop jumping for those who take it seriously.

2 comments that sum up my feelings on it...

This is the whole problem with online dating. I'm not against it by any means, BUT by default you are being overly shallow right from the start making judgements and assumptions you wouldn't necessarily make if you met in 'real life'.

Very well said Alex from Glasgow. Want to go out?

Oh god, whatever happened to 'be yourself'. Be careful, angle your face the wrong way and you're viewing percent will be down by 2817%. ridiculous

I could not agree more Alessa from Middlesbrough!

Reeni, good that you posted here. Please post back and let us know how your granddaughter is. Does your husband say anything about why his family seems so uncaring?

Good wishes coming your way for you and your granddaughter. I hope and trust all will be well.

2/c and some 3A.
Protein sensitive but can use occasionally
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift
I can't stop laughing. My co worker is annoyed by another co worker at the moment and he is in the corner yelling, "They, isht! Gah- toe-mighty! Hell fire! She's crazy. Crazy. She's crazy!" Haha. He is correct.

I hate it when people call, hang up, tell you something is wrong with someone when you call back and refuse any assistance. Drives me batty. I can't stand sitting there knowing someone is sick and refusing any help. They don't have to accept. They don't have to let EMS touch them. They don't have to go.

My night shift co workers must have had a wild night. They asked me if I had seen a gorilla with crazy eyes carrying a bike when I came in. Oooooo... No. How about a singing toaster? Nope. Can't say I did.

Sorry to hear about your g-grandaughter reeni, that's a painful thing for anyone to go through, let alone an eight year old. I'm sorry that you're having to deal with insensitive family on top of it too.

Mmm. I am going to be craving the winter slaw I just saw on FN. Kale (LOVE it), brussels sprouts (love, love, love them) and radicchio (heart it but can rarely find in store). I would skip the dried cranberries. I do like them but I'm picky about what I want them with.

I can only imagine how craptastic it would be to find numerous dirty drug needles while trying to clear a fallen tree and clean up the road you share with one neighbor. Especially when that neighbor is one of the biggest POS you could ever meet. I do not say that based on drug use. I have known plenty of good people who got themselves in bad situations. This guy... Worthless! I have known him for years and there is not one ounce of worth between him, his wife, or their children.

^ And that is rare. Even in the situations where mom & dad are both addicts who try to murder each other on the regular, they usually produce children at some point that are good people in a bad home environment. Not very different from one of my favorite childhood friends who died of a heroin overdose. His parents were very messed up, he turned out messed up, but he had a heart of gold. He just didn't have a chance in life. This couples off spring (adult now) is a completely different story.

Update on my g-granddaughter. The anti nausea meds are finally working and she's been able to eat a little. My granddaughter posted a picture of her and she's playing on the laptop and smiling!

Thank-you letting me vent and for all your good thoughts.

We've always been the outsiders in the IL's family because we do what we do and not cater to them. And we moved 800 miles away to get away from them.

I was just hoping for even just a like.
What a WONDERFUL day!!
@reeni maybe they aren't as practising Christian's or whatever religion that believes in a god.

Also they may not be fully on Facebook. For example I'm on Facebook but the last time I fully visited was last October. During that time I've had friends' and family who have posted major traumas and happy events in their life which I have replied to in other ways.

Basically I'm trying to say not everyone will act in the ways you think.

Ok I admit some people even very old adults are completely 100% scared of any sort of serious illness in someone they love or know well and try to blank it out. But again it's not because they are uncaring they just are afraid they don't know the right way to react in public.

Oh and it's good to hear she is better.
No, I do not find it surprising that you saw a mother of 5 giving herself a pocket breathalyzer as she was putting her kids in the car.

I can not wait to spend time with my friend. I did not feel like it the last day he was available. Basically the only day. He has been at the ex not boyfriends house for 3 weeks. The guy still has not left. All I have heard, over and over, is "This will be the last day I spend with him". He has sold almost everything in his apartment because he could not rent a U-Haul. The furniture is gone. His water has been cut off. His bed was going today. Wtf!?!? You have an apartment with furniture and running water about 15 miles from his. Why are sleeping in a sad pile on the floor, brooding over his never ending farewell?
