Blah. I really wanted to sleep a little longer but damn my dreams. Non stop and intense.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

When I blind copy you, obviously I don't want the others to see what I wrote. You send it around to everyone and add something sucking up to them. You are an idiot. I have lost respect for you.

Thanks, Perri! This was a really crummy stunt. I would never do that to someone - she must be pretty desperate to look good, even at someone else's expense.

Glad I could vent here - kept me from making a scene which would just have called more attention to the matter. She may have won points with some, but she has lost me as a helpful and loyal co-worker. Next time she needs help - gee, I'm just too busy!

Curlypearl,

That co-worker sounds like a headache. I'm so sorry that happened!

Seriously, they are dumb.

I would say that for us, a year is a pretty good run. I think you've made a lot of emotional progress, but it still comes down to the same old issue, which isn't solved simply because some of the antagonists are now dead.

I will still wish you well on your birthday, but I'm going to let go. I can't "get over it" or forget. I don't live it on a daily basis, but it did happen, and a kindly suggestion citing how long it's been since then doesn't help. I was six years old, for God's sake. If the same thing had happened to S., I doubt very much you'd make the same request. In fact, the thought is laughable.

Anyway, it was fun while it lasted. I hope this means I can skip the graduations come spring. I get anxious on your turf. And I think you've spoiled J.

I just got word that my great granddaughter, Maddie, is on her way home from the hospital!!

Thank-you for all the good wishes for her.
What a WONDERFUL day!!
^ Fantastic news!

I love reading reviews on The Americans. I avoid spoilers and just read general thoughts on the show. I mentioned in another thread that people thought the show was too modern and not true to the 80's. I get the biggest kick out of reading those because they were obviously written by people who were not born until the 90's. "They showed a motel with key cards and some remote controls for tv's! It seems like they would do a better job than that." Yeah okay. Key cards have been around since the 50's and some tv's did have remotes in the 80's (like the first PC's, they cost you your first born and your soul) but whatever. "Keri Russell's hair is straight and she dresses too modern! She would not have had straight hair in the 80's". If you pay attention to the opening of the show you will see pic's of her with curly hair. She plays a Russian spy posing as your average American woman. The straight hair is part of her cover. And she wears leotards and lots of button down dress shirts with 1980's Guess jeans. What are you talking about and better yet what do you think people wore in the 80's? Flour sacks? Someone even bi*ched about the Pac Man video game table not being realistic. You remember those. The video game screen with a glass table top over it. I loved those. My favorite place to sit in Pizza Hut while we waited on our food, except they had Centipede. Anywho, it's humorous. *And I have to think Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys enjoy these roles. Both are my age and were just kids when the 80's portion of The Cold War was going on.

^ I wonder if schools still do the generational projects (or better yet, just simply talk to people in your family). Sometimes, based on things I read, it does not seem like it. I loved those. We did a few different ones between elementary & high school. You were assigned your generation, had to find a family member or family friend from that generation and interview them. It was a good way to find out what life and general attitudes were like for them while growing up.

I had already heard most of the stories from parents, grandparents and great grandparents (etc) but it was nice to record it. Loved the clothes talk. What was cool. (No need bothering my grandmaw with that one. "Cool. What's cool? Pick up a broom and sweep! Make the bed. Plow the garden! No one had time for cool.") And also the food. Big hoops of cheese, saltine crackers in barrels at general stores, one Coke a week if you were luck, penny candy Neat.

I sincerely hope I do not have to deal with those when the time comes. I have watched a couple co workers stick their head in the freezer over the years.

Judging by some blogs I just came across, there is a mixed reaction to the episode of The Bachelor that aired tonight. I didn't watch but apparently the fuss is about one of his dates taking him to a shooting range, where she showed him up. Southern girls. We're taught to shoot young. Why this is a big deal, I do not know. It's not like they were killing small animals or something. They went target shooting. Oh God! They killed paper.

If it is in the fridge and doesn't have your name on it, you probably should just leave it alone.

Now I have coffee but very little creamer.

Please just tell me not to worry.

It's probably nothing. You JUST saw your dermatologist two weeks ago. She'll get you in first thing next week (as soon as she finds out you called). It's probably hormonal or something.

Just tell me not to worry, please.

Thanks everyone.. for those that don't know, 2 years ago (2 years ago this week in fact) I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma. Two days ago I noticed that a mole on my neck was... swollen? It's feels taller, almost like a blister. It's slightly tender, and is red around the edges. Which could be caused by hormonal swings, or I could have irritated it with clothing or scratched it in my sleep (not buying this explanation myself, as I really don't like things around my neck), or.....

So anyways, I have a call in to my dr. (she is out of the office this week). Per her instructions I "played the cancer card" and as soon as she finds out I called she will fit me in, (otherwise her next open slot is May).

I can't do anything else but chill the heck out.

This is going to be a cross-post

How do you tell someone that you are not interested in them although they haven't expressed interest in you? An ex tried to kiss me the other day, and is still texting me. I need to say something but I don't know how. Any suggestions? I'm sure how to draft this text.

I'm not interested because he's not the type of person I would want to date again. Nice person, but we want different things.
