I agree with Curlypearl. I've had that one job that you just can't stand going to. I was depressed. Came home every night and basically just went to bed. I was stressed out and didn't know what to do. My body was responding to the stress and I was gaining weight, felt tired even though I slept over 8 hours each night. I hate everything and snapped at people in my life. One day, my husband sat me down and told me to quit my job. He said the money wasn't worth it and that I needed the change. I listened! I don't love the job I'm in now, but it so much better. No job is worth it, and I've come to realize that. Best of luck to you!

I've been trying to just play the "I just want to get along game" but she won't let that happen

Last meeting we had with all the managers, her manager (and the others) complimented me on how well things went. They even sent me emails afterwards. My manager called and told me everything I did wrong (I gave them two options on how to address the issue rather than just picking one and telling them how they had to handle the task)

^ Very well said.

People are bonkers, I say! Bonkers! I was changing channels before 8, trying to find something to watch, and came across 2 different shows discussing the uproar over Simon Cowell and his mistress/baby mama taking their 10 day old baby to the beach. Who gives a flying f*ck? People were talking like they slathered the baby down in cooking oil and left him laying in the sun, as opposed to walking to and from a large tent where the baby spent most of it's time covered in shade. Apparently, if you are a proper and worthy parent, you should keep your child in a room until they turn 6 months old and not expose anyone to fresh air and natural vitamin D. They even went so far as to contact his newborns physician, to confirm if the parents consulted her about taking their child to be beach, as they said they did, and question her about the safety of walking your child to a covered tent, on the beach in February. The absurdity is to large to measure.

After that I caught a story about some self proclaimed "Robin hoods" who are following around parking meter readers (mainly women/meter maids) with video cameras as some part of a brave quest. These women keep telling them they do not like or want to be followed. I missed part of their reasoning. Apparently they are trying to stop them from writing tickets but the whole thing was strange. Now members of the public are following those boys (20 some year olds) around with video cameras, and chasing them off in an attempt to help make the women doing their jobs feel safer.

People are too damn dumb to function anymore.

http://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-...quo;-39784.php

I think parking meters are stupid, all and all, though they do help keep traffic flowing and businesses going in areas with limited parking. Most towns in my area had them when I was a child. I have not seen one in years but they were a huge common. Often people were hired simply to read the meters/write citations. They were not the same as officers on patrol. It was strictly their job. If I am unhappy with my city/town having parking meters I am not going to gather group of 6 people (all to mostly men) and follow around the person who is paid to read the meter with cars and video cameras. I will go to the source with a well thought out conversation/alternative to the matter. You don't stalk a waitress because a restaurant owner pissed you off.

Any the who, I came across this little jewel from Cop Block about the lawsuit against the Robin Hooders being dismissed.

"Ultimately, the Robin Hooders have been completely vindicated. The city people were lying (as is typical of governments) when they claimed Robin Hooders were harassing, intimidating, and threatening their parking enforcement agents. Again, the proof that they were lying is that no Robin Hooder has ever been arrested for “harassment”. Even if Robin Hooders were saying nasty things (no evidence of that was presented in court, and I’ve never seen it happen), the job description of the parking enforcers makes it clear they must put up with “mental and verbal abuse” from members of the public. The city people tried to illegally oppress our right to free speech and to hold government agents accountable for their actions, and the court made the right decision and dismissed their frivolous, aggressive, unconstitutional cases against us."

The parking enforcers have stated that the group has followed them with video cameras on foot, followed them in cars (which this has all been documented), crowed around them and verbally harassed them and told them to find new jobs, and one stated they have crowded him, bumped into him, and made comments about his military service. BUT according to this blip in Cop Block that is all BS because this person (who I gather is a Robin Hooder based on the way they said "us" and "city people" all official and isht) says it's BS because even if it did happen, they have to put up with it anyway. I would pepper spray their eyeballs out.

Ooh! Comment drama. Lol. I was reading the general sentiment about the above and had to laugh. One person named Derrick had apparently came into the conversation (he deleted all of his comments soon after), acting like a concerned citizen, and passing along donation information to those who wanted to assist in the Robin Hood cause. Another commenter came in and called him out.

Cat fight!! Honestly, I would not trust them as far as I could throw them. Yes, parking meters are often a racket. I could care less about them putting change in someones meter (which is what the ls was about), but this whole thing is pointless. They will continue to follow and film people doing their job until they die if they keep this attitude. *Though I do realize their goal is stop them from writing tickets, therefore rendering their jobs useless and getting them fired, possibly leaving families without income. Will they take up donations then? Do you have any plans to replace the jobs you want to desolate in an already pathetic job market? Or do you just plan to buy stuff and things with the donations while you spare some change for the meters?* Love the comments saying those doing their jobs deserve harassment. Yes, trying to support your family by working a city job that some do not agree with deserves harassment. I'll have to go with the above commenter again

Wanted to know yalls opinion about this topic. Pharrell is catching some heat for underreperesenting Black women in his new album cover G I R L. I just thought its a cover...meh... My first thought was not "hey where the sista at?" Idk thats just me. Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1393477311.858215.jpg
Unless Pharrell has made a proclamation to represent all or specific groups of women and is not living up to his promise... I guess he can put whoever he wants on his album cover.

This is not good. My friends son is acting off his rocker about his new girlfriend. They have been in a relationship for 7 days and he is posting 6+ statuses a day about how she is the reason he gets up in the morning. She has not liked one single post. I see a break down in the near future.

^ I am not on Twitter, do not do Instagram, so I had to look up WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday). He has been posting a picture of her once a week for a month, but he is orbiting. First thing I see when I look it up... 24 year old stabs her 26 year old boyfriend to death in their bed when he posts a picture of another woman (he's never met but chatted with and shared nude pictures with) on WCW. It's not worth all that! Should have walked away.

I'd rather leave him with the pictures of his WCW, as opposed to spending several years of my young life in prison over his choices.

I really don't know what is wrong with people. I'm very sick and tired with this personal brand of Slacktivism. One last note on the Robin Hood's and their band of happy hap's. When served with the law suit they objected to being called a collective. Never mind the fact that they run a Facebook page and donation sites, and all leave the same card on peoples cars after they feed the meter for them.

Say It. I Dare You.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1393503070.445813.jpg

(Forget the City of Keene. Disney is going to sue you up one side and down the other for using their image w/o permission)

They are all individuals with their own beliefs and goals for the cause. It's unfair to call them a collective and group them all together. Hahaha. So someone is truly harassing and misusing donations from the public. You are not working. You have to live somehow. Please keep digging, and I hope others keep crowding and filming them, just to get a point across. That plus watching them run for their lives from a few people was kind of funny. One face planted and slid and I am sure spoiled his shorts. It's not wise to pull this baby killer isht again. Seriously, people following around a meter reader and calling them a baby killer due to their former military service... I have officially heard it all now. There is nothing left to see here, folks.

Okay, REALLY done now.

In my opinion, you shouldn't have to be this stressed out at work over making someone happy with your work. Most managers would be happy for you to agree with them when needed and have your own ideas. Sounds like she doesn't appreciate you. And it also sounds like she could be unfairly targeting you for some reason. Why would she call you and tell you everything you did wrong if everyone else was pleased? You don't need that kind of negativity, but I wish I could find some advice to give you on what do to. I'd say have a chat with her, but it could make it worse. I'd say leave, but only if you have something else lined up/another option. Luckily, I had a part time offer when I was needing to leave the job I was in. It was half the money I was used to (being part time) but allowed me to finished my M.Ed. Please let me know how this works out and good luck!
