You all make me very glad to only be stuck with any bad co workers for three days at a time then I can avoid them in the future!! 😄
I scheduled time with my director on Friday to talk to him about it. I hope this helps.

In the meantime, I am going to document everything

I am glad the interim is someone you know and like, Rou. PS- I would ask someone to remove a pic I absolutely hated.

Scrills, that sounds like a great plan to me. I hope it helps.

Guess who called out of work 15 minutes before the shift started today? Lol. He sounded like he just woke up, but was claiming he caught his sons stomach flu and his daughters crud. So, you caught a UTI? He is so full of it. He said he was afraid this would happen, yet yesterday he bit*hed about the school nurse chewing him out for bringing his son to school, like he was contagious or something. At this point he has told so many lies he has no idea what is what. It's his twin's 3rd birthday today, and he probably did not get home until midnight because he was out on the baseball & softball fields with his deathly ill children. I would rather people tell the truth than 35 different stories.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

It os refreshing that a judge basically called the 18 year old NJ teen suing her parents a spoiled brat, and shut her down. They will revisit the college tuition claim a bit later, but she can forget the $650 A WEEK request for "child support". Who the eff are you kidding? With her claims, I seriously do not doubt that she left home on her own because she did not like the rules her parents set. She refused to follow an after 11 pm curfew, refused to do chores, and refused to break up with her boyfriend. Mom and dad do need to ease up on the last one. Let her find out for herself. You say no, she will fall for him that much harder. As far as the other two go, it's their house and their money you are after. College is a privilege, not a right. And you have no claim to almost $700 a week for living expenses. It's time for her to learn that.

I swear, some of the commenters on that story are crazy. Parents should completely support their child until they are 26 to 28 years old. Needy bas*ards. That would be the parents and the ADULTS.

^ I would like to learn a bit more about the man funding her court case. He is the head of the house hold she is living in (her friends dad) and a lawyer himself. He arranged her lawyer, has spent of $12,000 and wants reimbursement for the time she has been at his house plus legal fees. Um, good luck.

I really wish people would stop with the VOIP 911 calls. I understand so many are taking that route because they are getting rid of home phones/land lines, but they end up being absolutely miserable with it. We had a care facility completely transfer all their phones to VOIP. Another center in a completely different state takes the call, gets the information, calls us and relays all the information and then connects us to the nurse. They fight with the nurses on the phone, telling them to stop talking because they have to tell us all the exact same information first. The nurses are yelling CAN I TALK NOW!?!? It's awful and it *ooops. should be adds* several minutes to the response time, which is the last thing you want when a person needs an ambulance. They are now calling us from their cells rather than dealing with it.

I don't want to sound like a whiner....but these people at work are really starting to annoy me. It's one of those "I dislike my job (but I'm thankful to have a job)" kind of days.

He-lp Meeeeee.

Wtf. It blew up today, and my entire computer system went down just before it happened. I am exhausted. The other person I am working with dispatched for 20 years. She has been doing a different job for 5, but still she dispatched foe 20 years! She should not be afraid to pick up 911 calls, but she is. She is of little to no help, and made several mistakes. She kept asking for my help when all hell broke loose and I am doing 6 calls to her 1 with no freaking computer. Help yourself! Now is the time to remember.

I just hope it's not bad tomorrow. Just me and her again.

It's possible I'm spending too much time on the site. Last night my dreams were filled with Claudine (who I kept calling Nadine) and I driving around trying to find Scrills' house, where we were all meeting to go to a carnival. Spiderlashes was there, jeepy, rou, tnb, fifi. Claudine and I did take a small detour to rescue a puppy and return it home (and explain to the owner about microchips and properly watching your puppy) Lots of other curlies and curlies with names I didn't recognize. We had fun though and although we were at a carnival we managed to shop because we all left with bags and bags of stuff.

Haha. A bunch of curlies at a carnival sounds pretty fun to me.

Aw. One of the guys that helped rescue the children when their mom drove into the ocean at Daytona is from Western North Carolina. He was sweet in interviews. Still very shaken up and said he would never get the image of the kids begging for help out of his mind.

"What if I hadn't been there? What if Stacey hadn't been there? Everybody else was just driving by videotaping. What if we hadn't done that? Would it have been another Susan Smith deal where she murdered three kids? Come to find out -- four of them -- they say she's pregnant," he says.

"I threw my car in park and took off as fast as I could. I'm almost 300 pounds, so that ain't fast," Tesseneer says.

"Them kids, the way they looked, outstretched arms, it was just terrifying," he says.

Yep, he's a country boy. He praised the other man who assisted, Stacey Robinson, to no end. He wanted to make sure everyone knew how quickly he laid his hands on the kids.

Oops. My link to the story did not post.

How a bunch of people could stand there and video tape when kids are hanging out the window screaming their mom is trying to kill them is beyond me.
