Say It. I Dare You.

I will be happy when I manage to sleep past 8. I'm too excited right now. I want to continue redecorating. I need to get a great thank you card and a little gift for my cousin. I already knew my Aunt wanted me to have some stuff. She had me over, twice, before she passed a couple years ago. She was already starting to get her affairs in order (cancer in numerous areas) and giving people things while she could. I was told my cousin would call when she had been through her stuff so I could come over and look at the home decor. Lol. She didn't have to, but she did. I am glad. I never would have bought the majority of this myself, this means more, and I keep smiling when I look around my house.

When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I always find something else to spend my $ on), this means more than anything I would have bought at a store, and I keep smiling when I look around my house.

One of our officers who is a good friend of mine was shot on duty early yesterday morning. He is stable now and will pull through THANKFULLY!!! My coworker has managed to make this all about her and how she came in early to help with the chaos that was an hours long standoff/gun battle with the shooter (who is now VERY dead btw). Im soooo f'n tired of hearing how great she thinks she is. Its a team effort and at the end of the day the only thing that matters is everyone in the field in harms way got to go home. STFU!!!!!

Daylight saving ends here in about 15 mins and I'm at work. So not looking forward to turning those clocks back and having to work the extra (unpaid) hour.

So telling my sister to be here early...totally useless.

I told her 5, it's now 20 after 6 and she's still not here.

Beyond livid.

Now on my second glass of wine.

We won't discuss when I poured the first!

Theres a sales rep at work rumored to be banging six guys here, some married or otherwise attached. They're taking bets on who'll screw her at our natl mtg which starts tonight. She supposedly knows about the bet and shows no shame. Klassy. #skankaliscious

* That should have been shift, but it works

He is doing good. He was clinging onto hope that the guy he liked would move back from Colorado for a little while. The guy was even calling him to say he was moving back and he missed him. He had only been there 3 weeks, had problems with his roommate, and had not met anyone yet. Home sickness. Would you really sell your bed and everything else you could not fit in your sedan (along with 2 dogs and a cat), and move across the country only to move back 3 weeks later? He seems to be adjusting to the idea that he's probably not returning fairly well. He decided to get into glass blowing himself. He has been working 5-6 days a week and slowly ordering supplies. He is very excited about it, and the focus has helped. He also got a car loan this week and a new car. His first brand new car. He has always driven very used ones. He is over the moon to have something dependable.

*Unfortunately he did not bring up his depression to a doctor. That was the main reason he scheduled an appointment. They ended up putting him on a new anti seizure med anyway, as part of his migraine therapy, and told him to try a gluten free diet. He says you can't take anti depressants with seizure meds. I'm just glad he's had a pick up in self esteem, gotten some focus, and is keeping himself occupied. Too much idle time sends him into a spiral.

I just hope my mom doesn't say anything, though. My Aunt had 31 nieces and nephews on this side (her in law side) of the family and I am the only one that she liked :-/ (She loved my mom and dad too). I hate to say that. I love all my cousins, even the ones that have driven me crazy more than once, but it's in laws. I get it. I don't see any of my cousins having hard feelings. Not one. *With that many nieces and nephews none of us got Christmas gifts from Aunts & Uncles other than the ones who needed it. My 12 cousins who were raised by a single mom after their father died in 1981. They bought them new clothes and shoes every Christmas and no one had hard feelings or was jealous. We were all very happy for them.* They are all very 'it's not my stuff/not my business' type people but some of my Aunts might go into a tizzy.

I'm glad he seems to be doing better, sounds a lot more positive anyway, I hope it continues. Don't know who told him about not taking antidepressants with seizure meds - we have lots of patients do it, they use the anticonvulsants to augment the effect of the antidepressant.

And so it begins... Game of Thrones premiered tonight, and those screaming sexist will start their rants. Yes it is, but does one truly have to say (or as some put it, "admit") that? It's a little redundant. He wrote fantasy books based on a specific period and decided to keep some things true to that period. He also wrote some strong female characters that are who they are because of what they have been through, good and bad. I don't really know what harping about the fact that he didn't write it with equality for all will accomplish. It's a little like burying your head in the sand.

I hate when people discriminate against bi people.

We aren't accepted by straight people, and we aren't "gay enough" to be accepted by gays. I hate that.

Good luck, I hope your hair cooperates!
Thank you for the birthday wishes.

Fifi, we also have a lot of patients who read far too much info about their meds and then develop every side-effect going, very frustrating sometimes. I mean I'm all for being well informed but not when that info is used to self-sabotage.
