Sorry about the post. I did write an explanation, but then got the overwhelming urge to delete the whole thing.

I feel drained.

I had a good time this evening and I liked hanging out, but did you keep having to play game after game of cards and not leave until 11:00? Your three kids and my two kids were bouncing off the walls. It was way past all the kids' bedtimes, but there was no way my kids were going to bed with guests over, and it got a little crazy.

It's Sunday.

I haven't been paid; it's day two of a snowstorm; my back is sore from yesterday's shoveling, and the puppy chewed up my new electric blanket. The dryer's broken.

Woe is me.
I love pie.

I wish I could send Ninja Doggie some pie but I'm afraid only an empty tin and dirty fork would arrive.

Ninja Doggie appreciates the thought.
I hope my kitty recovers! I didnt realize a spider bite could cause that nasty of a wound

I am so torn about what to cook. On the one hand, I am having such a craving for pupusas. On the other hand, I could really go for something nice and stewy, like brisket or some Texas-style chili. Then there's the desire to make porchetta. Mmm, crispy, crackly, juicy porchetta! And I could use the leftover to put into pupusa filling!

I love the way the chocolate shortbread I'm baking is filling up the apartment with its delicious aroma.
