I can't believe that I picked up a hitchhiker, and a male at that.

He just so pathetic and sad trudging through the snow in the middle of a "snow event" with his giant backpack, and I know the buses were really off schedule.

Nothing happened, but I can't believe I did that. My Mother would smack me.

There is water from the roof leaking through our ceiling over our bed... and our bedroom is too small to move the bed out of the way because the leak is in the center of the room. Grrrr! I guess we're sleeping in the guest room/office bed tonight.

Also, the after-hours maintenance guy the apartment complex sent over was really, really scary looking and smelled really bad. Also, he had no suggestions except that the roof on our building is "badly engineered" and that we put some buckets on our bed so it doesn't get wet. Grrrrrr!

On the upside, the nice thing about living in an apartment is that we won't have to pay to have the roof fixed/

I AMOST DIED!!! OMG it was so scary. Roads are iced over and my dumb manager who is in the Tampa office does not understand the severity of the weather conditions and said we would remain open! OPEN MY BUTT. I barely made it 1/2 a mile... LESS THAT THAT before my car was swirling all over the place. I dont even know how I made back on my lane to go into the closest apartment complex and made a uturn where I witness many cars sliding all over the place.

AND my crappy Florida manager doesn't even pick up his call so he can tell me how to update our emergency alert line. I took it upon myself to delay the office opening since its dangerous!!!!!!

Update on the roof situation:
Two guys from a construction company just showed up to clean out the gutters because they think that's the problem. They are accessing the roof via the (tiny!) skylight in our loft - which is directly over the stairs. They're like a comedy team - the bumbling older guy and the young, smart one who tries to be patient with him. It took them twenty minutes to figure out how to put on their harnesses, because they had them upside down. They laughed and laughed about it. Now, I just heard the older guy say, "Oh, should I be holding on to you?" from the roof. Who are these people!?
