I feel nauseated. If I add up all the weird things I ate today I'd feel even worse.
My 14 year old nephew just told a friend of his on FB to go whack off to the history channel "as usual." Nice to know that his fancy education has refined him so well.

"Whack off to the history channel" — that's pretty funny.

I kind of thought Good Friday would be a holiday at work since my boss is really religous. Guess Presbyterians don't observe it in the way that Catholics do. My last (Catholic) boss closed down his office from Fri.-Sun. for Easter. So now I'm in a bad mood. Why can't everyone just be Catholic??
I hope my boss is in a better mood tomorrow than he was last Monday cause Mondays are bad enough without a grumpy boss!

I was going to start a thread about being a threadkiller.
Then I realized that a bunch of threadkillers together on one thread could only end in a massacre.

-really loving the Bedlam in Goliath. Another masterpiece but my first love will probably always be Frances the Mute.
-I'm a honorary godmother! I told everyone at work about little Sirin.
-starting over!

Ugh.
Can I go to sleep tonight and wake up in a new lifetime?

This growing and neverending desire to cry over this frustration is getting tired.

So my ex texts me to tell me that her adoptive father is dying and has less than a week to live. I lived with them for almost 6 months. I cried over missing him when we broke up. He has always asked about me. Even 2+ years later. So I asked if I could go see him and say goodbye in person. she said that her girlfriend got mad so I can't. I'm very frustrated.
I don't have to go there when she will be there. I'd just like to pay my respects in person.
His wife had a stroke 5 months into my relationship with my ex. He visited her daily, all day, for the next five months. He was a tough puerto rican man who cried in sorrow over missing the love of his life. How he didn't want to live without her. How everyday he wished it was him who was in her bed. He made me feel like part of the family.
I will really regret if I don't get the opportunity to tell him myself everything I want to say.

Yeah, I often wish everyone were Jewish. Christmas is a company holiday, and I really couldn't care less about it, but I have to use vacation time to get any of my holidays off. Often, I have to work them anyway because I can't get the time off. I work Christmas, too, though I get paid extra for that. I call it a Chanukah present.

I know --- it is! I'm glad the kid's got a good sense of humor. I think he was worried I'd tell his Dad what he said. As if!

Minxy, I think you're within your rights to see him, regardless of what the ex says. Death trumps everything.
I'm very sorry.

This. You'd be going to say your goodbyes to a person you care about very much. Her girlfriend can suck an egg.

Dear college kids on spring break who are frequenting the Y,
Shut up! You talk too loud, and too much.
And the paw prints and writing on the rears of your shorts and sweatpants are obnoxious.
Signed,

I've noticed that every so often, the board breaks out in a rash of two-star thread ratings. They are all the result of just one vote, so I kind of think it's one person going on a ratings rampage, assigning exactly two stars to random threads.
Kind of tame, as rampages go. Funny, though. It's really the only time I ever notice the star ratings at all.

Do you want them to stay off your lawn, too?
