Thanks for all the no smoking support, everyone. I'm not sure I'll make it through this second day, but I'm trying.

God, I want a cigarette.

Really? I don't want to seem self-indulgent or self-absorbed.

But I am flabbergasted.

I'm trying hard, Kenzie.

Besides, I only smoke outside. Afterwards, I hate how my mouth tastes and fingers smell, so I scrub my hands and brush my teeth. It's really a PIA.
Uh, wow. My 16-year-old brother just microwaved a piece of bread with cheese on top, and he didn't use a plate. Then he put it on top of our foreman grill "to cool", again, without a plate or anything. Then he picked it up and ate it. EW EW EW EW EW. That's not normal, it really isn't.

Haircut today. I'm thinking of taking 5 or 6 inches off the length. I trust my stylist completely, but I am a little nervous anyway......

Go for it, Missp! Although, from your pic, it's really pretty as is........

I'm thinking of putting mine in a ponytail and just hacking off the shag part at the bottom.

Urgh!

Why did you have to push me so hard emotionally? I really miss you, even though you're a pain.

Ultimatums suck. You make me want to weep. Instead, I'm going to drink too much at a country club later, with my forgiving family.

I have done shag cuts before and they work pretty well if I have a long shag. But, I was still straightening it then. I bet yours looks great but I know how it is when you're unhappy with your hair.....thus my haircut today.
MissP, I bet that shoulder length cut will be great! I chopped mine off a few years ago and fell in love with it! Although it probably added more pounds to my already chubby face, the ease of caring for it was SO nice. I'm letting it grow out again now though.

I really need to get over it and book an appt. with a salon. I haven't been to a salon for a cut in over 3 years and I know my hair could look a lot better than it does if I'd just GO. The fear...oh, the fear... The lady that cut my hair when we lived in FL was awesome, wish I could just go back to her. Finding a new salon & new Dr's are my least fave part about moving every few years.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Ninja, way to go on trying to quit! You can do it!

My mom just passed her second week with no smokes, and she's had that habit for 40 years. If she can quit, anybody can. In fact, she saved something like $80 in one week (almost $10 a pack now in NY?!) and put it all in the bank. Quitting is really worth it in more ways than one!
