They said they couldn't do anything unless THEY saw him outside the fence themselves.
In situations like that, my family have sorta kidnapped the animals. You could always drop them off at a shelter and claim you found them wondering around. At our shelter, to get your pet back, then you have to pay them whatever they spent on it including kennel fees.

IME neglectful owners don't really notice when their pets disappear.
I'm with Cympreni. I've actually done this. Don't tell anyone.
We ended up hanging onto the dog (Biscuit is his name) for a couple of hours. An animal control officer came out, took a report, and we put him back inside the fence and blocked off holes in the fence with big rocks. (He's a little bichon.) The officer left a warning on the door and it was gone the next morning, so assumably someone was coming to check on the dogs, but they were still outside alone all day/night. We think it was some kind of family issue - divorce or illness or something. Obviously we aren't close with the neighbors, but the dogs are still there and the man who lives there is around every day now. Sigh. I just hate to see animals in distress.

I don't know if I realize what I've started. *sigh* I hope it was worth it in the end and that my kids keep their big traps shut.

All that reading to Danae is paying off...she used the words blemish and compartment today in the proper context.

The time draws near... our company will start getting here this weekend and even though I *know* all this cleaning I'm doing will go up in flames the minute they start unloading the car, I'm doing it anyway.

I'm going to do my best to not get twitchy and b*tchy when all of their stuff explodes all over my clean house. *breathe in, breathe out*

How can one little cat shed so much hair. Granted, I don't vacuum all that often but I think I sucked up about 9 cats last night. And I didn't even get to the 3rd floor.

My school is holding a 9/11 protest and prayer session.

I think I'm going to protest their protest. I'm not even sure what the heck they're protesting!

A protest and a prayer session? At a school? I'm guessing this is a private school.

Nope. It's public. They're doing it outside of school hours, if that matters. It isn't required attendance, either, but it still makes me mad.

Yuh, if that was a school around here I would be protesting the prayer session on school property. I don't even think they should have a protest on school property but the prayer thing makes my teeth grind. Why can't they do that stuff on church property or at the courthouse?
I don't expect you to figure out the answer kenz. I'm just thinking (bitc*ing) out loud. : )

Well if it's just an unofficial group of people who want to pray, I don't have a problem with them holding prayers after hours on campus I mean, I certainly don't know any details, but it doesn't seem like the school is sponsoring the event.

Well, considering it's being held in our new, ginormous stadium and they're using my school's sound system....

I don't know why, but it pisses me off. Especially since we already have so many Christian-based clubs and groups at my school....I think I'm just sick of all of the hoopla surrounding 9/11, and this was the final straw.
