Dang, Spring! I would've been in tears. I'm glad your pipes didn't burst, too. That would've been just an extra layer of suck.
I'm sorry your back is in pain, CL. I get back spasms sometimes and they are awful.

Glad your power is back on Spring. You really are lucky no pipes froze.
I used all my gift cards already! My mailman, UPS guy, and Fed Ex guy will be bringing lots of packages to my house. I'm sure they thought I was going to give them a break after Xmas. Umm, no!! : )

Thanks y'all.  I keep smiling at how nice it is to feel normal again. 
I'm so glad my MIL isn't annoying, having to spend all that time in close quarters and us all sleep in the same room could have been really BAD.

Mr. Calvin was toasty as a weenie in a bun. He slept curled up behind me on the couch and I was under two wool blankets and my Slanket. He'll have nothing to do with sweaters, which is unfortunate because his little chest is bare and he gets cold in the winter.
Since we all slept in the living room, there was a melodic symphony of alternating snores throughout the night. I much prefer my own bedroom.

The MIL and her honey each had a recliner, hubby got out his inflatable camp mat and sleeping bag and took up residence on the floor. Me? I positioned myself on the couch earlier in the evening nearest the kerosene heater.  Tactical planning ahead, I had to think of the welfare of Calvin and make sure he stayed warm.

Calvin hurked up what looked like a carrot round yesterday morning. The weird thing is there are no carrots in the house.  We have no idea what it was.

You know those big giant bones you can buy for dogs? Not those fake bones, I mean real bones that are the size of a small person? Well, they give dogs reeeaaallllllyyy bad gas. Between the constant gnawing and the terrible farting, I ended up having to leave my guy's house in the middle of the night and come home to get some sleep.
