{{return hugs}}} Thank you, I really really needed it...

We haven't had The Talk yet, and really not had any sort of discussion at all, but it's definitely out in the open now. I had already talked to a lawyer a couple of months ago.

My semester (taking 4 classes) will be over by 3/17; after that there will be 2 classes left and I'll be finished with college forever. I'm not sure what will happen to the house; it's in loan re-modification but neither of us wants it. Like I said, we haven't gotten to any of this part yet.

My unemployment runs out about in the middle of May. I might not get an MT job right away but my friend says she can pretty much guarantee getting me in where she works--she's gotten 2 of our other old coworkers in a couple of weeks ago.

But of course, I am being sensible and NOT just depending on just that job option; I'll be looking elsewhere too. If an MT job option comes up first, I'll be taking that, definitely.

I will need a car very badly, and a place to live. I'm very unhappy about rent prices in this part of the county. But it's sorta really important to me that my daughter be able to stay in the same school. To be brutally honest, I don't want to stay here at all--I have NO family here. It's just.....me.

I hate living in the city more and more with each passing day---I really want to move closer to my childhood home within the next 10 years. Doesn't have to be exactly in the same place, but at least somewhere in that direction. I want to own my own house somewhere in a rural area. My daughter's really close to her dad and I just don't feel that moving away would make sense right now.

I'm praying very hard that my daughter can get through this, and that my SIL won't get involved. I just really really hope everything works out in the end.

Just trying to get through one day at a time.

I'm starting to get verklempt again.
We are taking out mom for her b-day tonite & have had this planned for weeks......
Apparently she has not told gp.
Talked to her today & said, oh, btw, the boys are calling & wanting to wish me a happy b-day [per gp apparently]
So, as usual, we were coming over & now not sure how things will go.
Mom was great as usual and said, oh, I thought it'd be late for y'all for dinner.
I said, no, I was thinking it was for you & dad.

to be continued
I really don't think gp knows he's as much an ish head as he is...for fargin real....good lord....
I am annoyed, tho thankful we can do this for my folks, even considering the carpy circumstances.....sigh

Oh my god!

Not hazelnuts! I love hazelnuts. Please let this contamination be brief and unsubstantiated.

I wonder where Jeep is. I was just thinking of her as I seared the heart and liver from my waiting-to-be-roasted chicken.

What's up with hazelnuts, ninja?

In another thread she said she was in NC..I think...maybe it was SC. Either way, I remember her saying she was out of town. I hope I get a better memory one day.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Gulp. Still clearing my mind from the image you described.

Hazelnuts are being recalled due to possible e coli contamination. Distressing news.

Heh, sorry, but that's precisely what made me think of her.

Well, thankfully I don't buy mixed nuts or hazelnuts in the shell.

How could in-shell nuts have e-coli? Aren't they protected by the shell?

Good memory spring! In NC, eating, drinking, spending some time around Raleigh with my sister and friends, and some time riding with Mr. Harley. Then to the beach for a few days and home next week.
saria - I've had some fab food down here but oh I want some hearts and livers!!!

And for no reason at all, here is a pic of me coveting these awesome vintage turquoise Valentino shoes at a consignment shop. I would have had to go without food for a month if I had bought them. But I'm still dreaming of them. I don't have a thing for shoes at all, and nowhere to wear heels but man they were made for me. If I could bring myself to throw away a couple hundred bucks on a pair of shoes, I would have been happy wearing them around the house in my jammies. : )

Amazing that someone still took the time to comment on that yahoo article that the e. coli scare is due to third world migrant workers not caring or knowing about proper hygiene and washing their hands. Yes, those filthy immigrants are now killing you with e. coli on top of taking your jobs.
