Default Does anyone use Wrike, Basecamp or Trello?

I have never used a project management tool but I'm interested in how they work. Can any of you tell me how it works, how useful is it really, is it difficult, does it make your life easier or harder? If you have used more than one of them, can you tell me which one you like best?

I only have Trello. We, me and a few other people, use it to manage a fairly big site, we have boards for content, for data control and for managing features and bugs on the site. As we currently have around a thousand open cards it has made things a whole lot easier. Suggestions and ideas can be brought up, as well as bug reports and todo lists and it is easy to discuss and plan them. I have not really used it in a professional setting though.

My suggestion would be for you to create an account and just check it out before you make any decision. The regular accounts are free and you get a feeling for it.

This is a bit off topic, but you manage a website not as a business? Would you care to explain this a little more?

I questioned how I might use one of those tools in my personal life (my boring life). Are you perhaps using it as a way to start your own business or is this website of yours just fun between friends?

Well, it is not yet profitable and is essentially a hobby project. Everyone involved works on it on their free time. While the point is to hopefully make it profitable in the future, it is not an actual business yet.

I just find it to be a very good way to keep track of ideas, suggestions and things that needs to be done. A more dynamic way of listing things on the refrigerator, especially when things get bigs.

I'm not the original person behind it, I came aboard about two years ago. It is not just "fun between friends", it's quite big by now with a lot of fairly serious and complex work behind the scenes. So, for organizing that sort of bigger things, to keep track of things that needs to be done etc I find it very good. Essentially, when a simple list is no longer enough, then it might be worth trying.

I've used Trello.

It makes a great Kanban tool where you can collaborate, see tasks easily and move tasks through their states.

You can get smartphone apps for it so I would sign up and just practise with something simple like a personal project before working with your colleagues to use it.
