Getting eloped dress?

Hopefully that link works, but I'm looking for something casual that still has a bit of flare for a simple beach elopement. Just me and him at sunrise. I originally purchased a long white maxi that had a see through flowey skirt, but it just didn't look nice on me. I'm roughly 5'3 and my measurements are roughly 42-34-43 and I weigh 192. I carry the weight pretty well, but I still find it hard to look nice in a lot of things I try on. I got very off subject, what do you think of this dress in general? And for some one around my height and weight, I was wondering if it'll be flattering. Thank you ladies.
I figured this would be smarter, lol.

I think it's very pretty. I love the detail on the sleeves. A short dress will be cooler and not drag in the sand. I think it's more youthful and modern looking.

Will you wear jewelry? What kind? What is your coloring?

Best of luck to you!

Thank you! First positive comment I've received. I was told by a friend that I'd look like a sack of potatoes since this dress gives no shape and im short and curvy. But honestly, I thought about just being simple and wearing my pearl earrings. And no shoes. And my curly hair in a side bun with curls on the sides and volume up top. Very simple and classic looking. And maybe a flower in the bun. Not sure about that yet. And my fiancÚ would be in khaki shorts and a white quarter sleeved button up. Pretty chill. I have no other ideas or colors or anything. I'm keeping it very basic. Just want to focus on him and myself. But look beautiful while doing it.

My friend wants me to go with this. It's lace and basic too. I just wasn't sure how I felt about it.

I'm not very good at pairing jewelry though to be honest lol. Which is why I didn't think about it too much.

I like the wet seal better and here's why: it has more structure, it'll make your curves show themselves and not hide underneath the dress like with the other one.
I really like the first one but I know I could never wear it. I'm busty and anything too loose or unstructured makes me look like a big blob. Also, the front if it would raise up bc of the boobage and it'd look like i was showing my crotch. Not a good look (for me). The second dress will say "hey look at all the sexy curves I have" (but not in a trashy way)

That's exactly what my friend said. She's normally right too. She said the same about my chest making the first dress look big on me. Cause im honestly not that big of a girl. I just have a large chest and some curves. I really appreciate the input. It makes a lot of sense.

As a large chested woman myself, I agree with PerriP.

Are there any other sites you would like to shop from. If you don't like that option (it's cute) maybe we can come up with some more options :-)

And congrats!!!!!!!
It's honestly too hard finding anything that fits on other sites that isn't too expensive. I'm trying to keep it super cheap because we're having a big wedding after and I want to save my money for that. I've looked on so many sites...its pathetic. But im an XL on most or a 16 normally. And its impossible it seems. I like the second option (wet seal one) I just don't want to look so juvenile and cutesy. I keep questioning if Itll make me look that way or not.

I like all the dresses scrills posted (esp. the first three). I also like the first one you posted, ClarissasCurls. But your body type is so different from the model's there's absolutely no way to tell how it would look on you. Unless you are very familiar w/ the brand, you really need to try stuff like this on IMO. I would NOT order my wedding dress online! Congrats!

3b (with 3c tendencies) on modified CG

I agree with Spiderlashes about trying something on before you buy it if possible, unless you are very familiar with the brand.

The other option is to order more than one dress and try them on but only if you can return the one that doesn't work without paying extra.

Now a question: I'm all for tradition but I've been reading that wedding dresses other than white are all the rage now. Would you consider a different color? You would have more options (which might make a decision even harder, I realize). I think a color might look very pretty on the beach. What do you think?

If you do white, I would definitely try some colored jewelry - turquoise possibly - so that it won't be too bland or muted, especially at sunrise.

ETA: Definitely get something structured. I like the ones Scrills posted.

Wow you guys, thank you so much. I love the dresses posted. I actually ordered the 3 and 4th one when we first decided we were going to elope about a month ago. And didn't like how either sat on me. But i think it was due to them not fitting the way they did on the model. My body shape and size is so annoying. I don't look like my measurements or weight to everybody, and I don't fit accordingly either. So online shopping is extremely hard, but because I live in a place with nobody but my fiancÚ, I don't have help or anyone to shop with or to advise me whatsoever. My fiancÚ doesn't want to see the dress before hand for some silly reason. But I thought about going and getting a nice teal or light minty ish colored dress. Because we're eloping, I can kick tradition a little just how I wanted to anyways. But I had nobody to really help and it just makes things all the more hard to venture outside of white. I love the Idea of turquoise jewelry though with a white dress for a pop! Man you guys have been so incredibly helpful. Although itd save me a lot of money because of all the good deals right now online...im going to just have to go to stores around here alone and try to find something. My time is ticking a little but hopefully I'll get lucky. Thank you ladies so much! I don't feel so lost and scattered about this anymore. Here's a pic of my body in a fitted dress. I feel uncomfortable. So I stick to less fitted ones. But I think the styles of what you posted would look nice if it can find it in a good size for me.

I think you are rocking that fitted dress. Your figure is amazing. You shouldn't feel uncomfortable.
Thank you, that was so kind! We all have our days though. I'm still getting used to wearing what I want. (Got out of a very controlling relationship awhile ago) and its just so much different.
