Default Reality Dating Shows

I mean like Elimidate, Shipmates, Blinddate and whatever else there is....including the Bachelor type shows and spinoffs (Meet My Folks, etc.).

I really despise the former three.

Dating shows, in general, make me feel better about my life.

They're more entertaining than many dumb sitcoms, but Bachelor is the only one I've really been into-and just can't imagine getting very into the next one.

Elimidate is saved for Friday nights when I don't feel like going out, and don't want to feel like a loser.

i don't watch ANY "reality" tv shows.

ugh, ugh and ugh some more.

right now, we are being hit over the head locally with promotions for the next edition of The Bachelor because he is from here.

it sure came as news to the woman he was dating here in Ottawa [former Miss Canada Lynsey Bennett, who's known Jessie Palmer since high school] that he needed help finding a mate. they were seen all over town together as recently as xmas time!

the guy's *so* classy that she found out about this when a reporter from a local tv station called to ask her for her reaction.

yep, *real* nice...

I like Blind Date because it's so skeevy and obnoxious--plus, they go out of their way to get interesting personalities for the show.

The rest of the dating shows are for the birds. Either smarmily unethical, without the sense of humor that saves Blind Date(like the new "Find a Straight Guy" one) or boring, like the Bachelor, the Bachelorette, Who Wants to Marry My Transylvanian Sherpa's Dog Breeder, and so on. They always have the same kind of boring couple.

Aww, that sucks rou. I didn't want to read that! I went to UF (Where Jesse played in college) and I was/am looking forward to seeing what he is like and I don't even like those Bacheloresque reality shows. I think he's such a cutie. I saw him at a party once when we were in college together. Eh. Oh well. Its not like I was expecting him to be mr. wonderful. I'm already married to him
